Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Fancy Flashback

Welcome to the FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP for a
"Tags" Challenge!
My fancy friends and I are BACK! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) that you can even participate in!  This month we are doing FLASHBACK FRIDAY! We select an old stamp set but use NEW product with it.
This card was created with an old stamp set that is very old and dear to me. It was the very first stamp set that I bought at the first Stampin UP workshop that I attend. It is called Heartfelt Thanks. A friend had invited me to attend with her and I had no clue what Stampin UP was back in 2003. As soon as I saw this stamp set in the catalog, I HAD to have it! The two step stamping of this drew me in immediately. I have stamp many cards over the years with this stamp set. So naturally, when this challenge came up I went directly to it.

As for the "new" Stampin UP products that I use, I went with the Calypso Coral and Wild Wasabi Blendabilities to color in the line art image that I stamped in Memento Black Ink. I did little blending really and did not even stay in the lines. The center of the flowers are Daffodil Delight Blendabilities MED. The DSP stripes are from the Sweet Dreams Designer Series Paper. The Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon was cut in half and some frayed in a bundle under the "thanks" cut piece.
Well, speaking of flashback....here is my flashback picture! Yep that is me! YIKES! This is my Senior Year photo. Look at that hair! LOL I was blonde as a child until I was 5 years old and I wanted to be blonde again. My high school sweetheart/husband said that it was false advertising when he met me! We all make mistakes, right? ;)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you!

You Plus Me = Friends - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are finishing our January 2015 box from Stampin' UP this week. This box was full of brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog! We usually do 4 projects each month, but this month has 5 Thursdays which means our viewers get an EXTRA project this month! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too.  Now on to my EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA projects this 5th week... Some of us are attending the Stampin UP Leadership Conference in Orlando right now! I am excited to see friends, learn about how to boost my Stampin biz, to get inspired and have FUN!!! These cards are what I created along the way for card swaps at Leadership.
The first one above, I used the Painted Petals Stamp Set with Crisp Cantaloupe. I punched the Very Vanilla cardstock with the 2.5" circle punch to create the "window" for the sentiment which was stamped in Pear Pizzazz. I definitely agree with this saying this week! My Stampin UP friends are definitely like family to me!
I received a package of the Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes and I wanted to whip up some easy and fast cards for friends. All you need is the You Plus Me Stamp Set, the Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape, Gold Glimmer Paper punched in the small heart punch, Gold Sequins Trim and Basic Black Baker's Twine. Don't forgot to add a Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Stickers Heart Shape! Love this trendy color combo of Blushing Bride, Basic Black, Gold and Whisper White.
Last is my general swap card. Again using the You Plus Me Stamp Set here. I did use the striped paper from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and the Red Glimmer Paper for some bling. Colors are Real Red, Whisper White and Coastal Cabana. This was easy to mass produces about 30 of these babies!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you!!!

Washi Sheet Crazy - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are wrapping up our January 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog! I feel it is AMAZING Occasions Catalog as well as the Sale-a-bration this year is the BEST EVER! You are going to want it ALL! We have 5 Thursdays this month so each week you will see all NEW items with a variety of inspiring creations from the Artisan Design Team! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my projects this 4th week with the ever cute and versatile Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets!

My card above was so fun to make! It also reminds me of my friendship with my two besties : Kim and Christine! 3 hearts = 1 happy friendship so this card is for them. I love those ladies! I put a piece of the sheets on Whisper White cardstock and then punched them with the Sweetheart Punch. The background swirls are handmade with the Crushed Curry Stampin Marker for some whimsy artsy fun. The sentiment (which I adore) is a Sale-a-bration stamp set called A Happy Thing Stamp Set. You should definitely get it just for this one stamp! But wait there is more.....
I punched a few more of those Crushed Curry Designer Washi Sheet hearts to make a quick baby boy card. I added the Sweet Dreams Designer Washi Tape, Sweet Dreams Designer Button, and the yummy Hello Honey 5/8" Quilted Cotton Ribbon. Quick and easy!
And then I needed a birthday card for my brother so back to the Washi Sheets and the Balloon Framelits Dies to make it. I even added some Washi Sheets in strips on the sides. Of course the Celebrate Today Stamp set completes it!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you to
create with the Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets!!

Thank You Blooms - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are half way thru our January 2015 box from Stampin' UP. Now on to my project this 3rd week...
First, I must say that I love each and every pattern in this BEAUTIFUL Designer Series Paper called Painted Blooms. I especially was drawn to this tulip pattern the most. I also went to the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies to create a gift card holder. I thought that a little $10.00 gift card would make a perfect thank you treat for someone special. My favorite part of this project was the stamped flowers! I did an oldie but a goodie technique called "rock and roll". I stamped first in Daffodil Delight ink then rock-n-rolled the edges of the stamp in Rose Red ink. I did add a new step - I spritzed it with water just a bit to soften the colors. It was so fun to play with this classic technique!  I also forgot how much I love the color Wild Wasabi! Great green color for spring! Ah, spring....get here soon!
I hope this inspires you will get out that designer series paper you love, buy that Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and make a little gift to say thank you to someone special in your life!
Thanks for stopping by!

Wood You Be Mine? - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are just starting on our January 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog that went live on January 6th! Now on to my project this 2nd week...
My first card shows off hunky Lumberjack Man from the "Wood You Be Mine?" Photopolymer Stamp Set. I did not expect to like this stamp set however I found it very fun to color in the images with Blendabilities! Some other fun elements I did: spritzing with Basic Black and Baked Brown Sugar ink and alcohol in Aqua Painter, using the strip of hearts thinlits from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies, the frames using the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack and square collection framelits dies.
My second card shows off the bold pattern ampersand from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack. I used the Hardwood Stamp Set with Baked Brown Sugar ink for my background to play up the "wood" part of the sentiment. See that jagged edge of the ampersand layer? It is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and it ties in with the same shape in the washi tape. You get just 4 each of this pattern in the stack, but I thought you could use the ampersand from the You Plus Me Stamp Set as well on Smoky Slate Cardstock maybe stenciled with stripes. This would be if you wanted to do a card buffet class with this design.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you!!!
