Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Sketch Fancy 2

Welcome to the FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP
for a May sketch challenge!
My fancy friends and I are BACK! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) that you can even participate in!
This month's challenge is a sketch design by our Jen Timko! I love the simplicity of it! For my card this challenge, I used some NEW Sneak Peak products from the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP catalog. I also challenged myself to try the "Bohemian" again. First thing I used was the Boho Chic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with Whisper White cardstock layer. I used a combination of Bohemian Designer Washi Tape Bermuda Bay dots, Delightful Dijon 1" Dotted Lace Trim and Venetian Crochet Trim behind the Bermuda Bay stamped image from the You've Got This Stamp set. I added the Butterfly Thinlits cut with the Bohemian DSP pattern. See that cute flower? It is the NEW 2015-2017 In Color Blossom Accents in Delightful Dijon. I added a small Pearl Basic Jewels to the center.
Now this is my kind of Bohemian! What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you today!

Watermelon Wonder Treat - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are finishing our May 2015 box from Stampin' UP! This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products
from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!!
You do not want to miss any of the projects this week! Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my sweet tasty project this 4th week...inspired by the water-coloring above and one of the NEW In-colors Watermelon Wonder!
I took the Watermelon Wonder striped Envelope paper and cut it with the Mini Treat BagThinlits. Then added strips of Whisper White, Cucumber Crush and Wild Wasabi for the watermelon rind. That 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder adds a sweet finishing bow. I added a 4" X 6" cellophane bag to hold my Jolly Rancher Chews. This also features the NEW stamp set called You're So Sweet.
Wondering how to make those watermelon seeds? Punch a piece of Basic Black cardstock with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack Heart. Then take your paper snips and cut the heart into two. You need to make the curves of the seed to get the tear shape. I made this 3"x3" card for a little note with the treat bag. I took the Circle Collection Framelits of each color, cut in half and then place of card at angle. Cut off extra. The stripes on background were done with the Cucumber Crush Stampin' Marker.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to put these wonderful products on your wish list when the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog goes live on June 2nd!
Now to figure out what to do with that water-coloring piece!?!?

A final MDS Monday - Favorite Downloads

This is it. The time has come. Let me pause for a moment to collect myself......
The very LAST MDS Monday post. Tami asked us to make a page showing our favorite My Digital Studio download. THAT was certainly hard to do by the way! Too many that I dearly love!

I was working on the 200+ pictures that I took on my daughter's prom night. So when this favorite download challenge came up, I knew what photos to use. Then it was instant inspiration from the photos to use the Glimmer Kit. I used the Gold and Silver toned embellishments and paper for the background. You could never use a WHOLE sheet of the real Glimmer Paper for a background! Seriously! I also used the Basic Pearls and Rhinestones download and the Gold Sequin download.

This has been such a huge blessing in my life to work side by side with these amazing and talented ladies on the MDS Monday Design Team! Tara, Holly, Tami, Beth, Yapha, Heidi, Jeanna and Anita, Rochelle, and Joan over the past couple of years.
You can bet that we will continue to use our MDS in some fashion! So be sure to check out our own personal blogs for some digital inspiration from time to time!

Thanks for joining us on this journey! It has been a great ride!

You've Got This - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our May 2015 box from Stampin' UP!
Now on to my project this 3rd week...(which you can also see on Stampin' UP's Facebook page on Friday)
This lovely stamp set was one that drew my attention when I opened my May Artisan box. I love the background sketchy stamp and the saying stamps. I selected the NEW 2015-2017 In Colors for my color combo: Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon and Cucumber Crush and Tip Top Taupe.
Couple of things I love on this card:
*The coloring of the flower in Watermelon Wonder with the blender pen and then fancy-cutting the flower out. I know lots of work but the result is worth it.
* Using the NEW 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder on the edge.
*The Delightful Dijon Washi Tape from the Bohemian Designer Washi Tape for a bit of color.
Then I took the fun NEW Envelope Paper in Delightful Dijon with the Envelope Punch Board to create a simple envelope. Add some 1" Dotted Lace Trim with a tag for a special touch.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to put these wonderful products on your wish list when the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog goes live on June 2nd!

MDS Monday My Final Sketch Challenge #114

Sharing my last MDS Monday Sketch with you today. I have been so blessed to be on this digital design team and to create in MDS with them over the past year. There are some super talented ladies on this team and they all love MDS as much as I do so please be sure to check out there creations on MDS Monday website. Also please give them some love via comments!

Life has been super crazy and this roller coaster called life continues. I wanted to share a page that I made two years ago that changed my creative life. I made a similar page for the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Application. I knew that My Digital Studio HAD to be part of my application and this page is probably the one I am most proud of. So I made a sketch layout of it for you. Use it as you like. Add more to it. Change the background or use a different stamp as the focal point. Make photo boxes with mat. Just have fun creating in MDS!

Challenge Guidelines:

  • Please create a new MDS project for the current challenge.
  • Provide a link back to MDS Monday or use the challenge graphic above within your post.
  • Link directly to your post or mydigitalstudio.net sample page for this challenge, not your entire website (So we can find your project)
  • You can create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D object with the sketch.
  • The Challenge will end on Saturday May 23rd @ 12pm EST.
  • Have fun!

The end is near and I find myself sad and yet thankful for this amazing ride with MDS after all these years. Thank you Stampin' UP for making a great digital program!

Special thanks to the whole MDS team thru the years at Stampin' UP: Andrea, Tanner, Tyler, Elizabeth, Sara, Shara, Lindsey, Philip, Holly, Chad, and Casey!

Extra thanks to Heather Summers for introducing me to MDS thru her online classes, Erica Shaw for asking me to be on the MDS Blog Hop, and to Holly Endress for asking me to be on the MDS Monday Design Team.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you will enjoy the sketch and do some creating in MDS!

Bohemian Challenge - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our May 2015 box from Stampin' UP!
Now on to my sneak peak projects this 2nd week...
As soon as you see this Bohemian Designer Series paper, Bohemian Designer Washi Tape and the Bohemian Borders Photopolymer Stamp Set in the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Annual Catalog, you will think "WAY TOO bold" "TOO bright for Bohemian" "TOO much" "What can I do with it?". Well to be honest...that is what I was thinking. I have even heard that many demos have not bought it on the preorder either. The designer series paper has one side bold pattern and the other side is a smaller design pattern (great to use as well). I choose to show you the BOLD LOUD side and how it CAN be use on cards. This was quite a challenge for me but I think I made my point clear with these fun colorful cards....
Bohemian ROCKS!
Created with just the Bohemian Borders Stamp Set, Bohemian Washi Tape and the Fabulous Four Stamp Set with this one!
Using the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer Stamp Set with this one with other Bohemian products. Love that feather to mix with the Bohemian look! I used the Banner framelits to cut the point of the layer of Crumb Cake.
This was a bonus repeat one but I wanted to share another of the bold patterns of the DSP as a background layer. With the purple tones out of the color combo, it works too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to get into the Bohemian BOLD side!!!

I Think You're Great - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are just starting on our May 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products
from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!!
Well for some of us. Shipping delays has some of our global team without these goodies at this time. Hang on though cause their projects will feature more of the Occasions Catalog that has a few weeks left. You do not want to miss any of the projects this week! Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my sneak peak project this 1st week...
I am sneak peaking three of the NEW 2015-2017 In Colors! Together they are just so fun! The pink tone is called Watermelon Wonder. The yellow tone is called Delightful Dijon. The blue-green tone is called Mint Macaron. Great names, right? I used the masking dots and a sponge dauber to color in the circle randomly. The stamped image comes from the NEW stamp set called I Think Your Great. I was immediately drawn to this saying. I have several GREAT people I could send this card. See that striped layer? That is actually a fun pack of paper that has another use....ENVELOPE PAPER! Say what? Yes it can make a custom envelope in a flash but it also is great to use the card!  (think mass production of cards) I added a bit of bling with the Gold Glimmer Paper and Gold Metallic Thread too.
Then I just started playing more with mixing the colors together in a different way for more versions of this card with these three New In-Colors. The Envelope Papers come in all of the 5 In Colors too! Can you see the possibilities?

The 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Annual Catalog goes LIVE on June 2nd! Be sure to put this stamp set, inks and papers on your wish list!
(Unless your a SU demonstrator and can order it NOW!
Bonus to being a demo! Sign up today!)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!
