Fancy Friday - Color Challenge!

Welcome to the FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP
for a color challenge!
My fancy friends and I are BACK! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) that you can even participate in!  Use #fancyfriday with your challenge project!

This month we are having fun with a color challenge brought to us by the fancy Jeanna! Do you enjoy a color challenge as much as I? I also love to have this type of challenge when I am in need of a card to send right away.

This was super quick card to create using the Project Life Moments Like This 4x6 and 4x4 cards, the Moments Like This Stamp Set and some of the Cherry on Top and Everyday Chic Designer washi tape! I love the wood Expressions Natural Elements words! Here I need them to have a little more POP in color, so I colored the wood in black with a Sharpie. I also love how the washi tape and inside of the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper envelope match! Nice little bonus I thought!
This card went to my friend Becky Cowley (she is on this Blog Hop too)
for her getting an awesome new job! She deserves it so much!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you today!

Altered Market Fresh - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are finishing on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products
from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!!  Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 14 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my 4th and last project for August....
This week we are showcasing the Market Fresh Stamp Set and the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog's Artistic Expression section starting on page 111. I am sure that you are going to love this suite by the time you finish our hop this week! So many yummy ideas!

I recently received a special treat from my Aunt Dar in Michigan. She gave me a jar of her homegrown and homemade strawberry jam! IT IS SO GOOD! I knew right away what I wanted to do once I saw this stamp set. However, I want to have the saying "Thank You" instead. I stamped the strawberry image with Staz On Black onto watercolor paper. I then used my Aqua painter with Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler to color it in. Then I stamped the other grape stamp with the saying I wanted using the same supplies. This is where some fancy cutting comes into play. I added a visual for you to see just what I mean.
I did use some Stampin dimensionals on the banner so it has a 3D effect as well.
And the background? It is strips of the new 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon in Mossy Meadow adhered with Fast Fuse. I just weaved them! Don't forget to make a matching envelope with the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board. You need a special size for this 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card!

Here is another "altered" stamp set idea! I wanted to make some blueberries instead of the grapes. (to go with the White Chocolate Blueberry Scones that I was giving as a gift) I stamped with Staz On Black onto watercolor paper again. I watercolored in the leaves using my Aqua Painter and Old Olive ink. When you fussy cut out the image, you want to alter the leaves to look like the leaves from a blueberry instead. Another visual for you!
To complete, you will want to color on the edges with Stampin marker in Basic Black. This makes it look like a real stamp image! I also cut some of the grapes off at the bottom to resemble a bunch of real blueberries.
Then a little more watercoloring with Island Indigo to make them appear like blueberries.
I used Stampin dimensionals to place on the 2 1/2" circle Thick White Cardstock. I absolutely love this white wash wood grain pattern in the Farmers Market DSP! I made the perfect size gift bag with the Gift Bag Punch Board with it!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to think
outside the box with your stamp sets!!!

Garden in Bloom - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
Now on to my 3rd project for August and my Stampin' UP Facebook Showcase....
This week, the Artisan Design Team is featuring projects made with the Garden in Bloom Photopolymer Stamp Set and the English Garden Designer Series Paper. I really enjoyed working with the stamp set images while the bold patterns on the Designer Series Paper were challenging. I found a softer pattern to play with and a soft color combo in the end.

Some favorite things are:
*Using the Fluttering Embossing Texture Impression Folder on each of the backgrounds.
* Using Very Vanilla mixed with Whisper White and color combo of Crushed Curry, Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Night of Navy Ombre tone.
* Using the Designer Buttons in Very Vanilla - love their shiny glass look
* Using the strings of white Jute ribbon
*Using the Crushed Curry washi tape from the Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape
* Stamping right on a Paper Doily!
*Using the Lots of Labels Framelits!
Some matching envelopes are such a nice touch when sending a card to someone!

I just love this saying on the card below especially during this time in my life!
I am truly blessed to have so MANY friends that I would send this card!
It is nice to know I have friends that support my dreams and hopes
as I cheer them on as well!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!

Project Life = Moments Like This - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
Now on to my 2nd project for August... This week we were to use the Project Life® by Stampin' UP® Moments Like This Collection and focus on the versatility of Project Life for even other projects besides memory keeping. Naturally being Stampin' UP and our love for cards, I went that route. Well plus a little bonus project!

The cards are a Kraft cardstock 4x4 card base. I took the 4x4 Project Life® cards from the Moments Like This Collection and cut them down 1/4" on two sides. Then I added embellishments from the Moment Like This Accessory Pack. I love the gold foil ones as well as the gold sequins and gold paper clips! I used each word from the Hello You Thinlits with this project as well. I thought it went well with the script words from the Project Life® Moments Like This Stamp Set. I cannot forget the finishing touch of these....the matching envelopes! I used the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board to make them!  One more favorite thing - the AWESOME color combo! Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron, Basic Black, White and Gold.

And last is my little bonus project....I took the Kraft Gift Bag and one of the 4x6 cards from the Project Life® Moments Like This Card Collection, added a few additional elements that I used on the cards, paired with some Basic Black Baker's Twine. Super easy gift with the cards inside for someone special!

So I hope that I have shown you this week how Project Life® by Stampin' UP® can be more than just memory keeping! Thanks for stopping by!

Page 64 Bundles - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
Now on to my 1st projects for August....

This week we were to use one of the cute bundle offers on Page 64 in the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog! Why use one when you can show off both of them?
Here is the Happy Notes Stamp set with the Lots of Labels Framelit Dies Bundle and here is my card that I created with them....
With two weddings coming up, I need some cards to give. I had this idea to take the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper and color in the mini hearts with Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate Stampin Write Markers. This gave me a base for my wedding themed card. These framelits are quickly becoming a favorite of mine!  Plan to see more of them this month!
Here is the Stake Your Claim Stamp Set with the Handpicked Framelits Dies Bundle and here are my treat boxes I made with them....(think Mike Wazowski)
A sweet friend of mine gave me one for a swap at Convention and I had to recreate it for some Back to School fun treats (teachers could give to their students as a cute warning) or even silly Halloween (yes it is early but you have to plan ahead) treats!
They are super easy to create! I used the Envelope Punch Board to make these boxes. I cut a 5 1/8" x 5 1/8" piece of Cucumber Crush cardstock. Ran it thru the Big Shot with my Decorative Dot Embossing Folder. Then punch and score on the Envelope Punch Board at 2 1/4" and 3" on each side. Cut the corner notches that are left. Fold and assemble with Tear and Tape Adhesive.
I cut a slit with my paper snips on the flap. Slide your "stake" into the slit. I used a Stampin Dimensional to hold it in place. Now just add a piece of the 2014-2016 In Color Designer Washi Tape to keep it closed. I cut the eye ball with the 1/2" circle punch and popped it up with a dimensional. Don't forget to color in your eyeball with Bermuda Bay and add some Bermuda Bay Thick Baker's Twine too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to go get one of these cute bundles for yourself!  Thank you for all of the kind comments on last week's post! You made my day!
