Fancy Friday - My Christmas Card

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I loved working with each other on the Artisan Design Teams so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. We welcome Elizabeth Price, Rhoda MacPherson, Jenni Pauli, Charlet Mallet and Teneale Williams to our growing group of Artisans!
Glad to have you here! We have 16 of us this time so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds! (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) This month's challenge we are showcasing our very own Christmas cards that we will be sending out to our family and friends.
We moved to Utah from Georgia this year. I wanted to do a combination card that was part Christmas card and part address update that would include a house. Festive Farmhouse Stamp Set was the house that stood out to me to use. Not quite our exact house here in Utah but our house is gray so I colored it the Smoky Slate Light and Dark Blends. The trees are from the Rooted in Nature and Nature's Roots Dies and trimmed off the tree trunks. So versatile, right? I pulled some clear iridescent sequins from a Paper Pumpkin that I had left over to go with the bling of the Glimmer Paper. I covered my envelope flap with the Under the Mistletoe DSP from the Annual Catalog.

This weekend when we get some pretty snow in the mountains, the three of us will take a photo in front of them to include in our card. I will also send our new address on a label for people to put in their address books. Do people still have address books? Well, they can put it in their phones and put the label on an envelope to mail us some love!

Inspire. Create. Share. That's what I love to do.

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with P.S. You're the Best!

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the P.S. You're the Best Stamp set for our January 2019 interactive rewards program. Too early to start thinking about 2019? No worries, sign up anytime in next two months but be sure it's before 12-31-18!
I wanted to show you how you can use a mixture of retired (rebel idea, right?) and current products to create a card but also show it used in an out of the box idea. Did you get the theme? Teachers are so important in our children's lives and they work very hard for little credit.
Why not show them a little appreciation anytime of the year?!

Here are some detailed tips on how to make the card yourself:
I used the plaid pattern from the Festive Farmhouse DSP.
I ran Old Olive cardstock with the Subtle DTIEF and then hand cut out leaves.
The apple are from a retired punch called Tree Builder Punch and I just colored the stems with Early Espresso Marker on Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
I stamped the typewriter on a post it note and used it as a mask to sponge on the Crumb Cake Ink for the ground.

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Sincerely Santa

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Sincerely Santa Stamp set for our November 2018 interactive rewards program. Are you ready for the Christmas season crafting fun?

About my project:
I wanted to share on this hop how you can use this Sincerely Santa stamp set WITHOUT the Sincerely Santa project kit. I just added other products from the Holiday Catalog to make this gift-able envelope. I made the envelope with the Santa's Workshop Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners. I used a Gold Foil Sheet and mimicked the tag from the real project kit with Layered Circle Framelits and the 1/2" Circle Punch. I changed the Santa from the DSP from Poppy Parade to Real Red using the Light Cherry Cobbler Blend. I fussy cut him out of the DSP. (p.s. this Santa can also be found in the Signs of Santa Bundle) He is so cute peeking out from the side. The star clip is from the All is Bright Paper Clips. The Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon is also from the All is Bright Suite. I threw in two of the Boxwood Wreaths Embellishments with some Real Red Rhinestones as holly berries behind the greeting. A perfect gift to give someone special and make them wait until Dec 25th to open it!
Are you inspired yet to join us? Promise that it is going to be educational and informational but so stinking FUN! Great for customers AND current Stampin' UP! demonstrators! You can get lots of ideas for your classes at a small price and less time designing!

Fancy Friday - Color Challenge

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here!
We have 10 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds! (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) This month's challenge we are focusing on a color challenge! Check out our inspiration photo below, with the colors of Mango Melody, Powder Pink, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate and Whisper White. We also have a Pinterest board that you can follow. Join in the challenge and use #fancyfridaychallenge if you post on your social media!
This was a CHALLENGE! (insert face plant into hand) I tried to add that Pacific Point blue into the mix of my fall theme and it just did not work. I also switched out the Whisper White for Very Vanilla.
I am such a rebel I know! LOL
I had this piece of Smoky Slate with the Tin Tile TIEF sitting on my desk from another project in process and it started from there. I recently got the Falling for You Stamp Set which is a favorite of my samples in the Holiday Catalog. I stamped the leaf in Rich Razzleberry on Shimmery White cardstock. I added Mango Melody into the bleed of Rich Razzleberry with my Aqua Painter. I love this look on fall leaves! I embossed the Powder Pink with the Subtle TIEF and tore it. Added some Very Vanilla Solid Baker's Twine behind it. Instead of gluing each of those in place, I did the Sue Plote's method - STAPLE IT! LOL I really miss our Stampin stapler we sold! I colored some Very Vanilla cardstock with a swipe of the Mango Melody ink pad and then die cut some pieces from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits. I finished off with the Silver Leave Trinkets and called it done.
Not too shabby, eh?

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Country Home

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are a selection of group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Country Home Photopolymer Stamp set for our October 2018 interactive rewards program. We are also using some of the Country Lane suite products!
Notes about my project:
I wanted to do an overall white theme fall card. The trend is white HOT right now! I stamped the milk can and floral array in Memento Ink (they are spaced apart to give room for the center greeting layer) and used awesome Stampin' Blends to color them.  It helps give a pop of color against the all white. I used Calyspo Coral Dark, Old Olive Light, Crumb Cake Light, Daffodil Delight Dark, Pool Party Light, Pumpkin Pie Light and Smoky Slate Light. I love love love love that Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder! YOU MUST GET IT! You can do so much with it and I will be showing you how on my tutorial in October! See it below on the frame? I will share that as well!
Don't those projects from the Holiday Catalog look so warm and inviting?

Fancy Friday - Floral Frames Bundle

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here!
We have 16 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds! (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) This month's challenge is to use one of the many bundles from the 2018-2019 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog! Join in the challenge and use #fancyfridaychallenge if you post on your social media!
I used the Floral Frames bundle found on page 135 of the catalog. You get Floral Frames Stamp Set and the Foliage Frame Framelits Dies. (Wood #148405 or Clear #148406)
Here are five things about my card if you look closely:
1. Color combo: Mango Melody, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Soft Seafoam, Bermuda Bay and Whisper White. Vellum too!
2. I stamped flowers in Mango Melody and use my Blender Pen to move the color around and add more ink with pen to make them darker on the centers.
3. One of the leaf pieces and label are embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder. That TIEF had me at hello!
4. The stamped leaves are from the stamp set and inked in Bermuda Bay like the greeting.
5. I added some Iridescent Sequins Assortment of blue and green. See the one on the petal...covered up a tiny coloring mishap.
Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Rooted in Nature

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are a selection of group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Rooted in Nature Stamp set for our September 2018 interactive rewards program. We are also using Nature's Roots Dies!  But wait there is more next month.....a BONUS tutorial from the AMAZING Stampin' UP! Artisan Holly Stene! Be sure to hop along to see her sneak peak!

Notes about my project:
I stamped the leaves in Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze then took my Aqua Painter to lightly color in. I added Petal Pink ink to the Crushed Curry and Crushed Curry to the Cajun Craze to add some dimension to them. I fussy cut the leaves out but there are framelits that cut them out. I did add some texture to the Gray Granite card base with the embossed leaves from the framelits. The Wood Texture DSP piece was embossed with the Subtle TIEF and I love the texture it gives. The twine is Linen Thread and the Petal Pink/Silver Twine together. I took out the silver thread and separated the Petal Pink/White threads.

Fancy Friday - Tropical Vibes

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here!
We have 13 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds! (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) This month's challenge is to use one of these stamp sets that have a tropical vibe to them and create any type of project like a card or 3D. Join in the challenge and use #fancyfridaychallenge if you post on your social media!
I was so excited to use the Tropical Chic Stamp Set for this challenge! Funny thing is that I only used the hibiscus flower image (colors Mango Melody, Calypso Coral and Grapefruit Grove) from the set and just one of the die cuts (Lemon Lime Twist) from the coordinating thinlits. I was drawn into making the background leaves in a Blueberry Bushel watercolor. I used Shimmery White paper, embossed it and then using my Aqua Painter with the ink to color the embossed leaves. I did add some Lemon Lime Twist ink in some of the blue leaves as well. Of course, I fussy cut out the greeting!
My friend Susan said it looked like a Hawaiian shirt!
I can see that cause I could use a Hawaiian vacation right now! LOL

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Stitched All Around

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are a selection of group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Stitched All Around Stamp set for our August 2018 interactive rewards program. We are also using Stitched Labels Framelits Dies!  But wait there is more next month.....a BONUS tutorial from the AMAZING Stampin' UP! Artisan Lauren Alarid! Be sure to hop along to see her sneak peak!
I used two of the Designer Series Paper on SALE right now!
The Garden Impressions and the Wood Textures. Each one of our Crafty Carrot Designers are using the Stitched All Around Bundle with all of the DSP on sale!
Be sure to pick yours up and the stamp set or bundle today!
Notes about my project:
The flowers and leaves were fussy cut from a pattern in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack. I know not everyone loves fussy cutting but this is a great way to stretch your DSP. I used the stitched edgelits in the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies to make the white layer look like a stitched rectangle. I added the sentiment and floral border from stamp set in Shaded Spruce Classic Ink. I took another pattern of DSP and added it to the envelope flap. I just love these stitched dies!
