Artisan Wednesday WOW - Watercolor Petite Petals Card

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are moving on to our March box of Stampin' UP products from the 2014 Occasions Catalog! This box was full of the Watercolor Wonder Product Suite and more! We hope you stay with our Artisan Design Team Blog Hop over the next few months to inspire your creative juices!
You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my watercolor inspired card.
(Jeanna Bohanon made our sweet March edition of Blog Hop Buttons! SHE ROCKS, huh?!)

It is no secret that I love watercoloring so when this box of goodies came, I was so ready to dive into it!  I took the dotted Smoky Slate pattern from the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper and stamped with Black Staz-On with the Petite Petals Stamp Set. I used my Aqua Painter (my favorite tool) with three ink colors in their wells: Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantaloupe to just swirl some color directly onto the DSP where my stamp images where. Tips: do not saturate, just a little will do; you do not have to be perfect; do not be scared to try, it's fun! Let DSP dry completely.
Some of my favorite things on this card:
The stitching with black thread - straight stitch and zig zag stitch around the card.
The Gold Baker's Twine just throw on there for some fun.
The Scallops Textured Impressions Embossing folder - cut out
The Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon as a flag.
The Petite Petals Punch in the Strawberry Slush - see the gold foil sheet under the black button?

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!
