Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are in the middle of our April 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog and some Annual Catalog products as well! This month, we Artisans have select a certain product to showcase each week.
BUT this week we are showing you the details for our Facebook projects which we decided to use whatever we wanted to use from the box. Should be fun!
Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my Facebook project this 3rd week...
Why do people say it is so hard to make handmade cards for guys? Not for me! With the right products, I can whip up a card in no time. I wanted to focus on the masculine designer series paper stack called Moonlight from the Annual SU catalog. Love that confetti pattern with the color combo of Lost Lagoon, Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand. I cut my card 1/2" off so that I could put the DSP strip of Basic Gray hexagon pattern on the inside of card. Remember last week's post where we showed you several ways to use the Birthday Surprise Stamp Set? Well here is one more! Love that greeting! The Mustache Framelit just says GUY all over it so I had to use it. I cut some strips of Kraft cardstock for the prop sticks. I think my favorite part is that pompom hat topper! I took Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and wrapped it around two of my fingers width several times. Then tie a single string around the center tightly. Cut the loop ends and fluff. Give it a try!
Now it's time for a FREE GIVE-A-WAY from ME!

Oh Cindy! What a darling card!
ReplyDeleteThis paper stack has such awesome color combos as illustrated so well with your card. Perfect for the young to old guys we make cards for!! I give many gift cards these days and love to use the clothespins to hold the gift bags closed. Thanks for sharing your talent!
ReplyDeleteI love your bold fun card for a guy Cindy! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI do find it a little hard to create masculine cards. Thank you for your inspiration!
ReplyDeleteI find it very hard to make masculine cards! I always want to use ribbon on my cards and it most of the time seems a no no to use ribbon on theirs! I do love some of the SU! sets that gear towards a masculine side. Just bought Moon Lake and Wetlands!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, I think I find it hard to make Guy cards, because all of my guys are hunters and fishermen I seem to have used all ideas and stamps that I have with that theme and nothing else fits them. I love your card, but none of the guys I would send it would appreciated it because it doesn't fit their personality.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, love the card! the set in on my wishlist now that you all did such a great job with it last week!
ReplyDeleteI love making guy cards - and will be hosting a masculine May class next month. I do wish we had more options since my dad and father in law get a card with a deer or duck on it every year haha! Other times, I just have to make the colors more masculine.
As a mom of three boys, I better get used to making more! :)
Une carte très festive ! J'adore !
ReplyDeleteI find it a little hard but getting better at it! I loooove your card. It's too cute!
ReplyDeleteI find it challenging to make guy cards because I love flowers and ribbon and all things "girly" and it's difficult to not use at least one of those things when I make a card:'( . But thanks for the inspiration! I love your cute card! That mustache cracks me up:-D Thanks for the chance to win the blog candy!
ReplyDeleteOh boys cards are so difficult for me. But I do love your card, cant wait to make it
ReplyDeleteIt can be a bit more difficult to create masculine cards, but I think SU!'s made it easier with the inclusion in the past couple catalogs of embossing folders like Stylish Stripes, Houndstooth, etc. and burlap & natural ribbons. Would love those clothespins for my 3-D projects!
ReplyDeleteSo like the Moonlight paper stack, used it for many projects. I don't do many cards for guys, but have a couple sets just for that use. Thanks for sharing this cute, appropriate idea. Seletta
ReplyDeleteI love love love this card!!!
