Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop - Shine On Pink

Welcome back to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here for another wonderful year! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!

This week we are showcasing our Artisan projects for the Stampin' UP Facebook Page this month. For this project, the team was to focus on the Shine On Designer Series Paper with the Sunburst Sayings Stamp set  or the Birthday Celebration Stamp set. Plan to see a lot of different design styles with these selective products as you move thru the blog hop!  Since I already used the bright colorful side of this DSP back in January, I wanted to show the silver foil side of the DSP this time.
Balloons are very trendy right now and the Balloon Bouquet Punch is a favorite from the Stampin' UP 2016 Occasions Catalog! Instant balloon shape in two sizes! I punched a few of the larger balloon size out of the Shine On DSP and sponged the edges with Melon Mambo and a sponge dauber. Some of the balloons are stamped with the full balloon image from the Birthday Celebration Stamp set with Blushing Bride Classic Ink. Then I stamped just the Happy Birthday Greeting from the Sunburst Saying Stamp set with Melon Mambo Classic Ink. The strings are from a stamp image in the Birthday Celebration Stamp set too. I used my Project Life Journaling pen to draw continuous lines after I placed the balloons.
These little gems on the pattern from the Shine On DSP called for some coloring! My dear friend Kimberly Van Diepen wrote in a recent comment that "you had me at pink" and pink is all I could think of when it came to coloring them! I used the Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo Classic Ink with the Aqua Painter to color them in. Start lightly and add layers to build up the color. Some of them are also colored with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush in Clear for some bling! (Hard to photo that element) To tone down the pattern a bit, I added a layer of Vellum cardstock with the Banner Framelits. The greeting is from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set. I cut one of the gems out of the DSP and added it near the greeting.

I am loving this card to much! I might have to make 19 more of them and send them to my Artisan Design teammates! I think they shine and are simply the best!

Thanks for stopping by here and if you leave a comment
then thanks for truly making my day!
Inspire. Create. Share. That's what I love to do.
