Welcome back to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!
(Thank you all for the overwhelming response to our Artisan blog hop for the Thoughtful Branches Introduction!!! We were on cloud nine all day!!!)
This week we are showcasing our Artisan projects for the Stampin' UP Facebook Page this month. For this project, the team was to focus on "Christmas in July" using the Peace for Christmas Stamp Set and the This Christmas Designer Series Specialty Paper. Many papercrafters actually start making their numerous Christmas cards in the summer and for this reason, our team was given the task to showcase these amazing new products from the Stampin' UP Annual Catalog. It is a great idea to get them done before the mad rush of the holidays, so come get inspired!
Here are some more card ideas using these same products. Don't forget to dress up those envelopes too! Just add a strip of the DSP and trim to the shape of the flap.
I must say this Christmas Designer Series Paper is fantastic! You get 4 sheets of each pattern and that is perfect to mass produce several Christmas cards. Be sure to order soon!

Here is my main card design. Just 4 simple layers. I mixed the Peace for Christmas Stamp set with the Gold Metallic Foil Doilies, the Gold 1/4" Natural Trim Ribbon and the Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. To get the different colored greenery, just stamp twice with Garden Green Classic Ink Pad to get a bold and then light color. I stamped the greeting first, next the greenery and then line up your Lots of Labels Framelit Dies and roll thru the Big Shot.
Then I took this lovely pattern from the This Christmas Designer Series Specialty Paper and made a custom envelope with the Envelope Punch Board. My flipgram shows how it works. I punched two holes near the point with the 1/8" circle handheld punch first. Then attach a length of the trim with glue dots to the bottom. Pull ribbon thru the holes and make a bow. Add your tag to complete your envelope gift package. You could add a giftcard inside the card and place in this envelope for an extra special Christmas surprise! Here are some more card ideas using these same products. Don't forget to dress up those envelopes too! Just add a strip of the DSP and trim to the shape of the flap.
Inspire. Create. Share. That's what I love to do.

ReplyDeleteBeautifully done, Cindy! I always forget how adding the piece of dsp to the envelope flap makes such an impressive difference, and this lightweight paper is perfect for it.
