Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Geared Up Garage

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
Let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Geared Up Garage Stamp set for our March 2019 interactive rewards program.
I was so excited to use this stamp set and coordinating dies for my first time ever creating with these Geared Up Garage suite products! However I wanted to take the colors outside the suite and more towards the colors that my Dad would love. His favorite color is the burnt orange or what we in Stampin' UP world would call Cajun Craze. I used lots of embossing powder on this card. Black on the gear die cut and Silver on the oil stain/spill. Lots of distressing too! I tore the edges, crinkled the layer of Basic Black cardstock and used my snips to slash some of the cardstock. I would have used the car from the stamp set but well my Dad is a Dodge/Mopar/Chrysler guy and that car is a total fake Ford Mustang. He might have thrown it away! LOL
Because it is a Basic Black card base, I created the inside of the card. (Krista would be so proud of me!) It sealed the deal on a great card for my Dad's birthday later this month!
Don't miss our Crafty Carrot Guest Designer for February, the amazing super talented and sweet Charlet Mallet! She will creating with us for the month and adding an EXTRA BONUS project to our tutorials! She is joining us for this blog hop so be sure to stop by her blog!
