Artisan Wednesday Wow - Pop & Place Special

Welcome back to an extra special Artisan Wednesday WOW! You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you go come check out some Pop&Place Holiday Gift Tags and Stamps on matching boxes and a tag keeper jar!

So I took the remaining tags all out of the booklet and stamped the rest of them with the matching stamp set. I had this little mason jar sitting on one of my tables so I took it and put all the tags with a cardboard piece wrapped with Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine. Now it is ready to be given as a gift!

Here are some decorated boxes that I added some of the tags to and they are ready to be filled with goodies! Stampin Up has made this year's holiday wrapping a piece of cake!

MDS Blog Hop - Greatest Gift of All Postcard

Here is how it looks when created in My Digital Studio. You just need to go to View, then Bleed Area. Select Artisan Shaped Postcard. Now you can see the shape. When you go to print, be sure to select in the print preview (where you put in the quantity) the shape box.

I am still working feverishly on designs for our Christmas card. I have to get them done asap because the 30% off Print sale ends on November 30th! But today I am sharing a Christmas/Announcement card that I did for our wonderful friends of our godson. As soon as I saw the Baby's First Christmas Shaped Postcard on November 5th, I had to tell them about it. It is sooooo perfect for them. He IS the greatest gift of all! They wanted to change the colors for a traditional Christmas colors. The father has a great camera so they did their own photo session at home. They came over last night and we finished the back of the card and sent them off to print.  They got 48 postcards for 1.58 each and it comes with an envelope! Wahoo!

Artisan Wednesday WOW - Oh What Fun card and gift box

By now you know how much I like a matching card and gift box! Oh yes I do! The Festive Flurry stamp set and framelits are perfect for just that. I love the washi tape in the ribbon around the box. 

An extra bonus project is the ornament or tag I made with the Festive Flurry stamp set as well.

MDS Monday Sketch #41 Challenge

Beth on the MDS Monday Design Team has a great scrapbook layout today! Perfect for me to catch up on a birthday page for a special 11 year old. The Sara's Sequins are fun to play with on this layout too! The silver one is so easy to recolor in any of the Stampin Up colors.  My tip featured on this was taking the ELEVEN stamp image and making it a shadow of itself. I copied the image and then clicked on PASTE IN PLACE. Then using my cursor button, I moved it to the left a little. I then changed the color from Midnight Muse to Whisper White. Ta-da!

Artisan Friday Wow - Facebook Project

Welcome to our Artisan Friday Wow Blog Hop!  You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out how I made my scrapbook page! 

The vision of snow falling was in my head as soon as I saw those Festive Flurry Stamp set and Framelits. I stamped Whisper White Craft ink on White Vellum Cardstock. Let it dry completely. Now cut out with the Festive Flurry Framelit dies. Then this page really came together when I found this photo and paired it with the Love & Joy stamp. Just the feelings you have when having a baby! I stamped the largest Festive Flurry stamp with Pistachio Pudding and stamped off once to get a softer color behind the Love & Joy stamped in Basic Gray. I love the details like the sewing around the photo on the Smoky Slate Cordination Cardstock, the Basic Gray washi tape from Epic Day This & That set and the use of the Large and Basic Rhinestones on the page.

This was fun to add the silver 1/8" ribbon to the White Baker's Twine bow. Those Frosted Finishes Embellishments really add to anything you make.

I used the Naughty & Nice Rotary Stamp to mark the date on my page. I added the 12/ with the Smoky Slate Stampin; Marker. To get the space, just move the numbers on the rotary stamp over a bit before inking up.  Just a little journaling helps capture the moment.

Artisan Wednesday Wow - #2

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my Christmas card!

When I opened by box for this month, the first thing I saw was the deer stamp set called Remembering Christmas.  It WAS the one set I was sure I would NOT use. WRONG! Somehow that guy stole my heart. LOVE! I stamped off once with Coastal Cabana to get a softer look. How many of you bought the Build a Banner Kit and made your holiday banners already? Well, get those stencils out again! I used the dot stencil to create the strip of Old Olive on my card. I just used a sponge dauber with Old Olive ink. I used the Silver Glitter with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the edges of the Apothacary Accents Framelit cut. The background was also stamped off with Bermuda Bay using the Christmas Messages stamp set.

Artisan Wednesday Wow - November = Christmas and Snow!

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are moving on to our November box of Stampin' UP products from the 2013 Holiday Catalog! Think snow mixed with Christmas!!! In honor of Digital Scrapbooking Day which was on November 2nd and Stampin Up's My Digital Studio Digital Scrapbooking Days, I wanted to share a complete MDS Artisan project with you today. We got one sweet little download in our box this month and it is the Holly Jolly Greeting Simply Sent Ensemble #135260. This is the recreation of the traditional one in the Holiday catalog seen on page 26.  I am loving the Smoky Slate and Real Red with a hint of Garden Green color combo. 

I also wanted to share a Christmas postcard from this download. It is in the running for our Christmas card this year. I like to create several designs and then let the whole family decide together which one. Can you see the scallop bleed area? It shows you how you can get shaped 5x7 postcards now from Stampin Up's My Digital Studio! See the real printed postcards HERE.
