Nurture Nature with the Creation Station Blog Hop

Welcome back this month with the Creation Station Design Blog Hop! I was beyond thrilled to join this group of talented women that inspires me! We plan to inspire you each month with Stampin' UP! creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!

This month our theme was Nurture Nature or Flowers to Showers.
Well.....a cactus count as nature, right? I was at my friend Monika's Stamp, Scrap and Create Retreat last weekend and one of the lady there had the Birthday Fiesta Photopolymer Bundle which I have been on the fence about getting myself. I mean I bought the bright and fun Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper so what is the hold up?
I love a good shaker card but making them is time consuming. This was super easy to create with the Fringe Scissors, cardstock and the Clear Envelopes. I just slide a piece of Whisper White in one half of the envelope, added the cut pieces of cardstock and folded the envelope in half. I secured it with washi tape and use my bone folder to make the folded edge crisp. I stamped the cactus in Emerald Envy on Emerald Envy cardstock. The greeting comes from Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set.
Why not make a matching gift box too? This is a 3.25 x 3.25 x 2.5 size box made with the Gift Box Punch Board. I have a whole spool of this Melon Mambo 1/8" Stitched Ribbon and it is stiff enough to make a large bow with it.

Boxes, Baskets, and Bags Oh My! with the Creation Station Blog Hop

This month our theme was Boxes, Baskets, and Bags! OH MY! I thought this would be a perfect chance to the rarely used Stampin' UP Simply Scored! I have a gift for my mom's birthday coming up soon and I needed a special size box for it. The talented Connie Stewart made this fantastic VIDEO showing how to make a custom size box as well as the handy dandy Simply Simple Box Making Shim! I even made one of my own with the help of her VIDEO here!

My box was 6" x 8" and 1 1/2" in depth so I cut two pieces as 9" x 11". The bottom is Kraft cardstock while the top was from the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.
I added some tissue into the bottom of the box and add my gift into the box. It fit perfectly! I used the Saleabration Metallic Gold Ribbon and the Whisper White 3/8" Ribbon from the Succulent Garden Combo Pack to hold the box closed.

Of course, I need a card and matching envelope to complete the gift packaging. My mom loves daffodils so I grabbed my Basket Bunch Stamp Set and the Basket Builder Framelits Dies. I stamped the Daffodil image with Crushed Curry on Daffodil Delight cardstock and die cut out.
In case you are wondering what the gift frame does...you add a straight pin with a pearl end into the burlap fabric and hang your ring from it. Here is the one I made for myself and it sits on my nightstand. I thought my mom would like to have one too. A few years back my Dad got my Mom a new wedding band set so I thought she would like to display her first wedding band set. I found this large version at my local home decor store.

Love is in the Air with the Creation Station Blog Hop

I am back this month with the Creation Station Design Blog Hop! I was beyond thrilled to join this group of talented women again after a little needed holiday break. We plan to inspire you each month with Stampin' UP! creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!

This month our theme was "Love is in the Air, Love is Everywhere" but not limit it to Valentine's Day but just a general show of love any day. This thought of "love in the air" brought me to use the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and Up and Away Thinlits Dies Bundle #144712 from the NEW Occasions Catalog. Both of these cards are perfect for a stamp a stack card class and a great way to showcase this bundle to your customers!

This first card incorporated lots of stamping using the Lift Me Up Stamp Set. The hot air balloons are done with Pool Party, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Bermuda Bay Classic Inks. The lighter pink one is a "stamped off" version with Flirty Flamingo as well as the Bermuda Bay one. "Stamped off" means to ink your stamp image up and then stamp once off on a scrap piece of paper. This will make the ink appear lighter when stamped again immediately on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. All of the hot air balloons are die cut out with the new Up and Away Thinlits Dies. Smoky Slate Classic Ink is use on the clouds and greetings. That DSP layer is a piece of the Pool Party diagonal stripes from the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack.
My next card is so simple and perfect for a stamp a stack class. I stamped the small hot air balloon in Smoky Slate Classic Ink directly on top of the Smoky Slate Cardstock base in a random pattern. Then I die cut the letters X and O with Flirty Flamingo, Whisper White, Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach Cardstock. The Large Letter Framelit Dies make this card so easy to XOXO (love). I stamped the greeting in Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink and added to the middle of the letters. The Bermuda Bay Baker's Twine bow adds a pop of color and whimsy. Just a nice way to say it with love....

To "DIE" for Halloween with the Creation Station Blog Hop

The Creation Station Design and Blog Hop is back this month! I was beyond thrilled to be asked to join this group of talented women for a monthly blog hop to inspire you with creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!

This month our theme was to use a framelits or thinlits die in another way that what it was intended for AND to create something with a Halloween theme. I took the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies and created these cute pumpkin treats!
To make the pumpkin body, take a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and fold in half. Place the fold on the score center line of the framelits die and cover the scallop end of the framelits die. Run thru your Big Shot. Next you want to take your Paper Trimmer and make two score lines 3/8" on either side of the center score line. This photo shows how to do it.
To finish, I ran them thru my Big Shot with the Lucky Stars TIEF. I stamped the Jack-o-lantern smile with Basic Black Archival Ink and the Jars of Haunts Stamp set. I took a white and black striped straw, cut it to 3.5" and flattened with my bone folder. Add to the pumpkin body with Tear and Tape Adhesive. The leaves are from the Thoughtful Branches Bundle. This is Old Olive ink stamped on Old Olive Cardstock. Add some Linen Thread for a bow. The greeting comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink on Kraft Cardstock. I used Mini Glue Dots to add these.
I added two Peep pumpkins in a cellophane baggie and attached with Tear and Tape Adhesive strips to hold closed.

Get Well with the Creation Station Blog Hop

The Creation Station Design and Blog Hop is back this month! I was beyond thrilled to be asked to join this group of talented women for a monthly blog hop to inspire you with creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!

This month our theme was "Get Well" which lately I have been needing in abundance. Well once I got started then I could not stop, so continue on and see what I came up with!
Some of my favorite things on this card:
The water colored dotted pattern paper from the Fruit Stand DSP in Flirty Flamingo.
The striped Watermelon Wonder washi tape from the Affectionately Yours Designer Washi TapeThe Sunshine Sayings Bundle where I used the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set and greeting word from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Die Cut in Peekaboo Peach Ink on 2" circle punch of Whisper White Cardstock. Then added the three butterflies in Watermelon Wonder Cardstock and finished with the Solid Baker's Twine and Metallic Sequins in in Basic Black.
Some of my favorite things on this card:
The Thoughtful Branches Bundle is clearly a winner! Have you seen all the samples out there? Why not one more? The flower blooms are die cut out of Whisper White Cardstock. I then cut the stem with leaves out of Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and sponged with Always Artichoke Ink. I also stamped the leaves stamp on the Sahara Sand Cardstock card base. I added the strip of Serene Scenery DSP to the one side. The greeting comes from Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and stamped in Bermuda Bay Ink. For a punch of bright color, I added the Crushed Curry enamel heart shape and the Crushed Curry Baker's Twine.
Some of my favorite things on this card:
The poor doggie...created with the Fox Builder Punch and Soft Suede Cardstock, I just adore him. His ears are made from one of the parts in the punch. Then I punch Vellum Cardstock with the 2" Circle Punch. Ah yes, the cone of shame! LOL Another image from the Foxy Friends Stamp Set is the quote bubble with hearts that I stamped on and with Watermelon Wonder. The raindrop pattern background is from the A Little Foxy DSP Stack. The best part is the Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set! You could make up any greetings you want! The Solid Whisper White Baker's Twine completes the card.
Some of my favorite things on this card:
This card is too funny! My friend Susan said it looked like a muppet character and then I began to think it might start talking to me! I used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies with Emerald Envy cardstock, Watermelon Wonder Cardstock and Basic Black Cardstock. You cut just a part of the largest scribble to get the frowning mouth. I stamped the Here for You Stamp Set in both colors and placed both on the front of the card. To finish, embossed the Smoky Slate Cardstock with the Polka Dot TIEF and add Basic Black Baker's Twine.

So there you have it! Four very different Get Well cards!
