Crazy Crafters Blog Hop - Casing ME!

I have a very special blog hop that I am participating in! My awesome friend from Australia, Kylie Bertucci messaged me this..."Hey Cindy! My team has requested you as a guest hopper with our team. We all case your projects. (Copy and Selectively Edit) Its lots of fun!" - Are you kidding me? Case ME? I must say that this is quite an honor for me!

When in doubt or in the creative dumps, case yourself I always say! I recently did some display samples made for the local Atlanta Stampin' UP! Onstage event earlier this month and with this hop in mind, I was able to come up with these cute bag again. You can see my full post on the past project below HERE
And here is the new updated version using the new suite in the 2017 Occasions Catalog called Party Animal. It is the same size bag using the Gift Bag Punch Board and the same size banner flags. I just closed the bag with the Gold Clip and added the NEW 1/8" Emerald Envy Ribbon. I stamped the greetings in Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango and then die cut out with the Tags and Labels Framelits Dies.
And here are just a few more cards that I created with the Party Animal Suite for the Onstage Display samples. I loved the Party Animal Designer Series Paper! Great fun!

Thanks for stopping by here and if you leave a comment then thanks for truly making my day! Thank you to Kylie and her talented team! You all are so sweet and I am humbled and grateful to be apart of this blog hop!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Embossing Fancy Frost Specialty DSP

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back with some NEW fancy friends too! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! These are a group of past and current Artisans that have become fast friends thru the Artisan journey. Glad to have you here!
Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we are having fun with a Fancy Technique (or Tip) Challenge! Each person will share a tip or technique that they have found in their creative mode!

I wanted to challenge myself to come up with a different technique to use on the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is a thick white textured embossed images paper in the Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog. I have been using it recently on some secret projects made for a special assignment. It is really pretty as white too!
Wham Bam!!! Can you see how I changed it?
To create this look, cut your DSP to the size you want. Then take your Versa Mark pad and lightly rub across the surface of the DSP. Now cover Gold Emboss Powder all over the layer. Use your Heat Tool to melt the powder. (watch your fingers on this part!) To finish, take your sponge dauber with Delightful Dijon Ink and fill in the white spaces.
I used products from the Paisley and Petals Suite in the Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog to finish up the card. I am loving the Paisley Framelits Dies with the two layer piece here and the added Metallic and Regals Enamel Shapes.
I used the rest of that bold pattern paper in the Petals and Paisleys DSP to make a gift bag with the Gift Bag Punch Board. I topped off with the yummy Rich Razzleberry in the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack.

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Stampin' UP! Artisan Blog Hop - Spooky "Jar of Haunts" Bat

Welcome BACK to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here for another wonderful year! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!

This week is an "open to create" week but with using the Jar of Haunts Photopolymer Stamp Set. Have you seen it? It has a great blend of spooky and cute images for Halloween!
When I think of Halloween, the first thing I want to make are some type of treat holder. I mean it is all about the candy! I saw a similar bat treat on Pinterest and so knew I could make it with my Stampin' UP supplies. Coming up with was half the fun! First take a 11" x 6" piece of Basic Black cardstock to make the gift bag with the Gift Bag Punch Board. Cut another piece of Basic Black cardstock at 2 1/2" x 3 1/4". Score at 3/4" and 7/8" on horizontal side. Measure 1/4" and down from the 7/8" fold. Mark center with a pencil and cut on your Paper Trimmer to make the diagonal cuts. Add the flap with Tear and Tape Adhesive. I took Whisper White Cardstock and punched out with the Medium Star Punch. Cut two of the tips to create the fangs and adhere into place from under the flap.
To make the wings, use the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlits Dies. Cut the flaps off the gift card holder (shown in photo above) and cut with a 2" Circle Punch to create the scalloped edge of the wings. The tag on the jar was also made with the Gift Card Envelopes & Trims Thinlits Dies
Here is the back view of the treat bag.
Then I thought, why not a jar of eyeballs and blood? I mean it IS a vampire bat after all! I love the mix of the bright green of the Cucumber Crush and the bloody Real Red for a spooky Halloween feeling.
Thanks for stopping by here and if you leave a comment then thanks for truly making my day!

Fancy Friday - "Other than a card" challenge

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back with some NEW fancy friends too! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Then a few of us had to take a break so we invited some new FANCY friends to join us and make the blog hop a little longer for your enjoyment! These are a group of past and current Artisans that have become fast friends thru the Artisan journey.
Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month the amazing Cathy Caines picked our theme "Other than a card". I have been wanting to play with the Friends and Flowers Stamp set from the Occasions Catalog (which by the way, it NOT carrying over to the New Stampin' UP Catalog so get it while you can) and I was happy to make something other than a card with it! Well I made a card too! LOL
Such a versatile set to have! Come see what I made with it.....
This first project was made with the Shine On Specialty Designer Paper and the Gift Bag Punch Board. I so loved this DSP for the thickness and shine of the silver metallic images. You must get a pack of it before it leave us forever! I used the flower petal images in the stamp set with the Festive Flower Punch to create the large Daffodil Delight bloom. The middle of the flower is from the Botancial Builder Framelits Dies. The greeting is from Circle of Spring Stamp set. That ribbon is the Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon and it is fantastic!

I took the fish and fins from the same stamp set with Bermuda Bay ink to make my cute fish. Polka Dot Cone Cellophane Bags are perfect for a little treat for a special little boy. I added the clear sequins from the Metallic Sequins Assortment for the fish bubbles. The mini 3x3 card is easy to make with another fish and the leaves and flower centers from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. Looks like coral or seaweed to me! The greetings are also from the Circle of Spring Stamp set.

For this last project with this stamp set, I created this special card for my dear friend from across the other side of the world, Susan Wong. She recently welcomed her 4th child in the world and I sent this card to her. I know that it gave her a good chuckle! ;)

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop - Sparkle and MORE Shine

Welcome to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
This week is an "open to create" week but to stay within the parameters of goodies from our Artisan box. Plan to see a lot of different design styles with these selective products as you move thru the blog hop! I decided to use the Sparkle and Shine Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog along with the truly awesome Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper. The more I use this DSP, the more I love it! Be sure to pick up this gem before the Occasions Catalog ends!
I created two cards very similar in layout but using different paper patterns of the Shine On DSP and greetings from the Sparkle and Shine Stamp Set. I stamped the pattern images (the v's and raindrops) on a piece of cardstock and then punched out with my 2 1/2" Circle Punch for one of the layers. I am loving the Cucumber Crush together with the Watermelon Wonder and Bermuda Bay as well as the pop of Basic Black and Whisper White. Then make sure to make some custom envelopes for these 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" cards with the 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper.
Last is a cute gift package made with the Gift Bag Punch Board and the Shine On DSP too! I am loving that Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon so much, I hope it stays in the new Annual Catalog coming in June!
Thanks for stopping by here and if you leave a comment then thanks for truly making my day!

Christmas Pines with Creation Station Blog Hop

The Creation Station Design and Blog Hop is back this month! I was beyond thrilled to be asked to join this group of talented women for a monthly blog hop to inspire you with creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!
This month we were to cover the most wonderful time of the year - "Christmas" (duh!) and feature a holiday product of course. I picked the Peaceful Pines bundle set!  I really find value in a stamp set with matching framelits. Always a win win situation! I have been waiting to use it and I am so happy to report that I LOVE IT! Which makes me happy that it will continue to be offered after the Holiday Catalog comes to a close on January 5th. Yippee!
Few of my favorite things on the first project:
The color combo of Cucumber Crush, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Gold AND silver as well as Whisper White. I love the mixed metallics in this combo!
The stamp image from the Peaceful Pines Stamp Set. I stamped in Cucumber Crush and then using my Aqua Painter, I added some watercolored ink to the tree. Absolutely love having a matching framelit for this tree too! Makes it so easy!
Using the Washi Tape as a layer. This gold striped version from the Winter Wonderland Designer Washi Tape.
Few of the my favorite things on the second project:
Gift Bag Punch Board - need I say more? It is a must have!
The Gold Satin Ribbon as the backdrop to the tag. Love working with this ribbon!
I used the Christmas Greetings Thinlits "Jolly" and cut out the double L's for just a simple JOY. Leave enough of it to glue them together using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Creation Station blog hop!

Altered Market Fresh - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are finishing on our August 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products
from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!!  Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 14 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my 4th and last project for August....
This week we are showcasing the Market Fresh Stamp Set and the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog's Artistic Expression section starting on page 111. I am sure that you are going to love this suite by the time you finish our hop this week! So many yummy ideas!

I recently received a special treat from my Aunt Dar in Michigan. She gave me a jar of her homegrown and homemade strawberry jam! IT IS SO GOOD! I knew right away what I wanted to do once I saw this stamp set. However, I want to have the saying "Thank You" instead. I stamped the strawberry image with Staz On Black onto watercolor paper. I then used my Aqua painter with Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler to color it in. Then I stamped the other grape stamp with the saying I wanted using the same supplies. This is where some fancy cutting comes into play. I added a visual for you to see just what I mean.
I did use some Stampin dimensionals on the banner so it has a 3D effect as well.
And the background? It is strips of the new 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon in Mossy Meadow adhered with Fast Fuse. I just weaved them! Don't forget to make a matching envelope with the Farmers Market Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board. You need a special size for this 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" card!

Here is another "altered" stamp set idea! I wanted to make some blueberries instead of the grapes. (to go with the White Chocolate Blueberry Scones that I was giving as a gift) I stamped with Staz On Black onto watercolor paper again. I watercolored in the leaves using my Aqua Painter and Old Olive ink. When you fussy cut out the image, you want to alter the leaves to look like the leaves from a blueberry instead. Another visual for you!
To complete, you will want to color on the edges with Stampin marker in Basic Black. This makes it look like a real stamp image! I also cut some of the grapes off at the bottom to resemble a bunch of real blueberries.
Then a little more watercoloring with Island Indigo to make them appear like blueberries.
I used Stampin dimensionals to place on the 2 1/2" circle Thick White Cardstock. I absolutely love this white wash wood grain pattern in the Farmers Market DSP! I made the perfect size gift bag with the Gift Bag Punch Board with it!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to think
outside the box with your stamp sets!!!

Trio of NEW Punches - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
We are just starting on our June 2015 box from Stampin' UP.
This box was FULL of more BRAND NEW products
from the Stampin' UP 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!!!!!
You do not want to miss any of the projects this week! We are showcasing three amazing BRAND NEW Punches - Tree Builder Punch, Banner Triple Punch or the Gift Bag Punch Board! Remember that every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my "punchy" projects this 1st week...
I wanted to make a project that you could use ALL three of the NEW Punches! Ambitious? Nah, that totally is doable! I jumped in and tried the NEW gift bag punch board first. I think I made about 10 of them once I got the hang of it. (hint - watch the video first!) Here is the NEW In-Color Cucumber Crush. I adore this color, so bright and hello its my color green! Then I played with the NEW Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack with the Banner Triple Punch. These are cut to 1.5" strips and inserted into the punch. Making a banner has never been easier!
Now on to the cutest part! I used the apples from the Tree Builder punch to make my cherries in Watermelon Wonder. Just cut off the stem of the apple! I used the Bird Builder punch for stems and leaf. The "hello" is from the Endless Birthday Wishes Stamp set. (a favorite of mine...hello Jen!)
Then I took another gift bag that I made in Watermelon Wonder, used some more of the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack for different banners. I love just adding some Baker's Twine thru the holes to a bow and a little tissue paper inside to finish it off.
I used the Tree Builder Punch again for the Bermuda Bay cloud this time. See that cute Crushed Curry sun sticking out? It is a framelit from the Flower Fair Framelits! So cute!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!
