Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Mixed Metallics

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here! We have 12 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we were to use any combination of trendy metallic like gold, silver, copper, champagne, colored or even create your own metallic! Ooh!

I took two Annual products that had metallic in them and meshed them together.
The Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Silver Foil Sheets.

Then mix them with these three Holiday/ Annual products: The Every Good Wish Stamp set, The Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies and the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and you get this...

I have to say that I did use the Marina Mist on the stamp image, shocker I know! When was the last time you pulled out that ink color? I am loving the pop of Lemon Lime Twist on the trees for this card.

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop
and wishing all of my viewers a peaceful and joyful Christmas season!
See you in 2018!

Naturally you would use this type of stamp set on a planner but you can also use the words for a quick card greeting! Here I used Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide for my color combo. Stamp off the Flirty Flamingo to get the softer pink on the AMAZING. Do the same with Tranquil Tide on the FABULOUS. This is a photopolymer stamp set so this is easy to line up!

I also took Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide with a sponge dauber to color on the embossing paste with the Party Patterns Decorative Mask. Throw on a nest of Linen Thread, a swag of Soft Sky Weave Ribbon and some Iridescent Sequins to complete the card.

PLACE YOUR ORDER TODAY!
My customers will be getting this card in the mail to remind them to sign up during November and December to qualify for the January 2018 program!

We wish you well, Valerie, and want to extend a very big THANK YOU for all you've done as part of the Crafty Carrot Co. in 2017. You are a ROCKSTAR!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Sketch Challenge

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here! We have 14 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we were to take the sketch made by the lovely Jen Timko but casing our talented newcomer Holly Stene!
I needed a birthday card for one of my besties and here is what I came up with.
Colors are Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Sahara Sand and White.
While I was in Banff Canada recently with my some of my dearest stamping friends from all around the world, I attended Allison Okamitsu's Stamping Retreat. She had tons of stamp sets sitting out and this is one that I have not had the pleasure of using yet. Can I say....LUV! I used the Rich Razzleberry ink to watercolor in the flowers. You have to work in layers and letting it dry in between to get the soft coloring effect.
That pattern background layer is from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. Many of the patterns are non seasonal and can be used outside of Christmas. I also used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch for the mini scallop edge on the side of layer. See below on where the scallops came from?

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Painted Autumn Inspiration

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! These are a group of past and current Artisans that have become fast friends thru the Artisan journey. Glad to have you here! We have 9 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we were to take the colors and technique inspired from the Painted Autumn Suite in the Stampin' UP! Holiday Catalog. There are plenty of colors to choose from in this suite that could say Autumn or even Spring. Colors are Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green, Soft Sky, Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso. Technique inspired would be to do watercoloring too!
I must say that you can not pick up this stamp set called Painted Harvest and create nothing but pure WOWSERS with it! No matter what colors you use with it too!
I am loving this color combo of Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. I was inspired by the Painted Autumn DSP pattern to create this project.
Here are some tips to create this project:
- I use Crushed Curry for the larger flower image then stamped Cajun Craze of top with the smaller flower image. The depth you can get with this stamp image is AMAZING!

- I did cut out the stamped (in Early Espresso) center of the flower and added some sponging on the edges before I added it to the center not popped up.

- I loose cut some small flowers in Crushed Curry to mimic the tiny flowers in the paper pattern. I added a Basic Pearl Jewel to the center. They are also stamped with the flower center in Crushed Curry for a faux sponging look.

- The leaves where stamped and watercolored to bleed the color then cut with the Leaf Punch. Add some Gold Mini Sequins and piece of Burlap Ribbon behind the flower.

- I did stamp in Crumb Cake on the card base with the other leaf in this stamp set.

- I took a piece of the DSP and added it to a Very Vanilla envelope. Do you do that too? I like that it finishes off the card package.

Would love to have you join us in the Fancy Friday Challenge so make a project and let us know in the comments if you did or post on social media somewhere and add the #FANCYFRIDAYBLOGHOP

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Trendy Large Font

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! These are a group of past and current Artisans that have become fast friends thru the Artisan journey. Glad to have you here! We have just 8 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we were use a stamp set that had a large font. I selected the Sorry For Everything Stamp set. Take a look below at it. It is a great stamp set of sentiments but not a single supporting image. I then picked Jar of Love with those beautiful layered flowers, soft color combo of Peekaboo Peach, Calyspo Coral, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Night of Navy, and the Wood Textures Designer Series Stack. The Jar of Love also has a matching Framelit set called Everyday Jars but I wanted to just show how you could use the stamp set alone.
And here is what I came up with:
Couple of tips: Stamp off the Calypso Coral flower layer before stamping on the full inked Peekaboo Peach. Stamp off the Daffodil Delight with the two solid flowers image and then the next layer in Crushed Curry in full ink. I also stamped off the tiny flower with Night of Navy which makes a softer blue. One last thing I needed to add was the pieces of Delicate Doilies. Something I learned from the AMAZING AWESOME INSPIRING FANTASTIC SPECTACULAR Kimberly Van Diepen!!! "Just add a doily to it!" Love that lady!
I also creating a matching envelope with the remaining piece of Wood Texture pattern DSP and stamped the images right on it.
