Festive Birthdays!

11 years ago, my daughter Megan was born on a Saturday morning at 10:04am. That day was also my Mother-in-law's birthday! She jinks it...many months before she said it would be a girl and be born on her birthday. It held true! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Megan and Mom (Mimi)!!!!! Love you both! Have a great day! Love, Cindy aka Mommy

Meanwhile, I will make eggs and pancakes in my pjs and big fluffy robe. Then I will start making the Broccoli Rice Casserole and Green Bean Casserole for Thanksgiving dinner at my parents'. Head over there to stuff ourselves with my Dad's moist turkey and delicious stuffing! Finishing off the night with a piece of pumpkin pie and a holiday movie in their new theater room. I can not wait! This card is a favorite of mine. I cased it last year from Splitcoasters. Colors are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Very Vanilla. Simple card made with a retired stamp set called Fall Whimsy. The sentiment "Blessings" I got at Archivers. Love that store! Have a great Thanksgiving! Cindy

Tuesday

Are you already buying your Christmas presents? Here are some holiday planners that I made for my craft show. I made them smaller this year so that ladies with smaller purses could use them too. These are good for gifts too. I still use mine from last year and then I remember what I bought the year before. The first one is smaller and I am selling for $3.00. The second is a little larger flip notebook and sells for $5.00. Email me if you are interested in purchasing one! nutmeg1197@aol.com You will have to pay for shipping unless you live in GA. Have a magical day! Cindy $3.00 each $5.00 each

Festive Friday

Here is a great and simple Christmas card. I used Real red, Galore Green cardstock and inks. The stamp set is a retired one but such a favorite of mine. I colored in the trees with a blender pen and inks. Pretty simple to mass produce as well. I sold out of this card and decided to make more of them to sell. I have envelopes to match them. Today I am attending an all day workshop with my upline Wendy. 10am -10pm! She is having a gift workshop and I will post later on what I made. I will have all the baby shower party decor on Monday's post. Wait til you see the baby diaper cake I made! My MIL even helped and had fun! Have a magical day! Cindy

Disney Trip (day 5 part 2) Thursday

I forgot to post about the remainder of our Disney trip. So we left Animal Kingdom and headed over to Epcot. We parked at the Boardwalk Resort and then walked into the back gate by the countries. We went to dinner at the restaurant in Mexico which will be the last time we eat there. They were overbooked, terrible food and slower than a turtle service. I just want to get out of there fast! We did many rides that night. We did get to do everything in the Living Seas this time. The girls loved the new Nemo Ride in the shells. We skipped seeing Illuminations and went and got in 25 min line for Soarin because the Fast Passes were out earlier. Great tip from a cast member! Ride the rides during the fireworks and no lines! Allison LOVED that ride!
Our silly family photo where we turn the camera around and squeeze together and see what we get. Megan's eyes are so funny! You can see the Epcot ball in the background.
The girls got to do a mask and have it signed at some of the countries. We ran out of time. They only have like 10 masks each at home!
Last picture is an idea I saw in the window scenes at Downtown Disney. I even bought some of those mickey lights to display on our Japanese Maple in the front. That did not work out this year. But I will try next year. Or I could take a tree branch and paint it black and put inside.
Overall it was another GREAT trip to Disney! How could you not have some fun at DisneyWorld?
Thanks for checking in!
Have a magical day!

Wacky Wednesday

Here are some gift ideas that I made for a donation for a fundraiser event. Kara is a 30 year old woman with colon cancer. She has a 7 month old baby girl! She has had surgery to remove the cancer and now is in chemo treatment. Please say a prayer for her and her family to make thru this terrible time. The first picture is a pack of 6 thank you cards made with the Wow flowers stamp set in Pink Pirouette and Black cardstock/inks. Second picture is a notepad holder with a beaded pen that matches the thank you set. I stamped the sentiment on only the first page of notes. Not each one! I packaged them both in a clear baggie and ribbon with a matching tag. Liked the notepad gift so much that I created more of them. I took all my notepad holders and made matching pens for them and put them in clear bags and ribbon. I am selling them for $5.00 each at my craft shows. Great little gift to give! My last craft show is this Saturday the 15th at Bascomb UMC off Bascomb Carmel Rd. 9:00am to 3:00pm Come see me there! Have a magical day! Cindy

Disney Tip Tuesday

Have you ever seen those really cute Disney commercials? You know the ones where you hear the carriage wheels and horses coming that wakes up the children and they run to the window. Then mom and dad are looking on the computer for a vacation package price saying "for all of us?" YouTube - Disney Commercial - Affordable Genius marketing! I found this article on AllEars.com here...What Walt Disney World Means by “Magic Your Way" (The View from Scopa Towers) He talks about how much a Disney package would really cost for a family of four. It is a reality check for sure! So if you are thinking of booking a package Disney vacation, please read this first! This is one of my favorite commercials and usually how it goes in our house the night before a Disney trip! YouTube - We're too excited to sleep! Have a magical day! Cindy

Made for Monday

After a very BUSY weekend, I just looked at my planner and noticed that I totally missed a very special day for a sweet couple. Sunday was my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's 9th wedding anniversary. I feel so bad that I missed it cause she checks my blog each day and loves all what I do and supports me thru ideas and tips. So, I hope they had a wonderful day, enjoying some time together alone (they have 3 boys), reflecting on their love for each other and how it continues to grow each year. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! The card was made by my upline Wendy. I was planning on casing this card in February for Valentine's Day, but thought it could apply to an anniversary. (sorry the pic is blurry) Have a magical day! Cindy

Festive Friday

Can you believe that Christmas is 47 days away? I know you just screamed "AAAGH!" Here is a sweet card that I cased from Angie Juda last year and repeated to case it this year. I love the softness of this snowy card. I used Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery with Whisper White cardstock. I sponged craft white ink on the edges. Colored in the snowmen with blender pen using the same ink colors. There is a little glitter where the snow ground meets the snowmen's bottoms. The snowmen stamp is actually a stamp roller but I can not remember the name of it. Tonight is my first Christmas card workshop! I have a great surprise for them, but I can not share it on here til Nov 24th! Call or email me if you would like to come to an upcoming workshop on the 21st or 22nd! Have a magical day! Cindy

Front Page NEWS!

Cherokee Tribune - 7 Check out my local newspaper! I am on the front page!!! So exciting! Go to the bottom left under "today's trib" for November 6th and click to view larger front page. The photographer took my picture at the craft fair on Wednesday and never did I think I would be on the front page. Great exposure and FREE advertisement! You will see my handmade snowman wreath which is now in limited quantities. I counted that I had only nine left after the ones I sold today at the craft fair. At the begining of this craft show season, I swore that I would only make what I have left and that was it. Over 2 years, I have made 135 snowman wreaths!!! I have 6 of them in my house during the holidays. Megan has teal, I have a Grandma Green, Allison has pink, Red on front door, red and white snowflake inside and a white one for January. Just wanted to share in my excitement! Have a truly magical day! Cindy

Wacky Wednesday

I think I have fallen in love...with the Upsy Daisy Stamp set! It is so versatile and so many different techniques can be used with it. Here I stamped it in Tango Tangerine and then again in Riding Hood Red just slightly to the right. I saw this done on another blog and had to try it. I used the opposite colors with each card using Tango Tangerine, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. I used the sentiments that come with the set. Add a brad to the half circle and done! You could use several color combinations with this card layout and stamp set. I would love to see it in Baha Breeze and Kiwi Kiss. Cool tones for a different look. I have a craft show today and tomorrow at Timothy Lutheran Church/Preschool in Woodstock off Arnold Mill Road. I will also be there on this Saturday from 9 am-noon. Come see me and you will get a FREE card if you mention my blog! Have a magical day! Cindy

Tuesday's card

With November comes a reflection of thankfulness for everything we have in our lives. I made this card using Really Rust, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped the tree image and leaves background from Lovely as a Tree stamp set. The sentiment came from Thankful Thoughts stamp set. I decided to play with my chalks to color in the tree. I like the way this turned out. Simple and clean. Have a magical day! Cindy

Made for Monday

Here are some pictures from our great Halloween Night! Megan decided at the last minute to try and be a ghost. I knew this would not work but we tried. I got an old sheet, cut it up and once it was over her face....off it went...not going to happen. So she went with the teenage witch idea. She wore one of my old skirts and then later changed into her own pink mini skirt. End of that. OY! We went to the City Park for a festival for 2 hours where Allison at least had a blast. She did the sack race...not falling down and winning it!! Then we came home to eat and trick or treat at the neighbors we know. Next was my friend Katie's Halloween party! It was themed after the Harry Potter 2nd movie. They had a scavanger hunt and good food and fun conversation. Howard went as Neo from the Matrix (in his black leather trenchcoat and I forgot to take pictures!) and I was a GEEK. I will be back tomorrow with a card instead of Disney Tuesday. I have a busy week ahead too. Craft shows and my Christmas card workshop! Have a magical day! Cindy
