Merry Christmas Day! Part 2

Off today to see my nieces on Christmas Day!
I simply adored these rather large snowman tags for their gifts. I hope that afterwards they will hang these in their rooms and think of their Aunt Cindy and her love of snowmen!

My friend Monika made these SUPER cute tags on her blog. Go HERE to get the tutorial to make them. I wanted SUPER large tags for my nieces' gifts so I adapted the snowman tag from Monika to My Digital Studio. OPened a 8.5x11 project, then I added a punch circle with a small mat in black and changed to 5.25" diameter. Added a stamp image snowman face and a square punches filled with dsp and sized for the scarf. I put two on the page and printed at home on Whisper White cardstock. Then I cut them out following the mat circle. I added the Full Heart punch for the boots and gloves. The 1 1/4 square punch and word window punch for the hat. Then added the snowflake and hat trim.

Extra special thanks to Monika for the inspiration! I will definitely make more of these!

I hope that you are enjoying this wonderful day!
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve! Part 1

I wanted to share the tags that I created for my nieces and nephews. We see my nephews on Christmas Eve and my nieces on Christmas Day and I love adding a special touch to their gifts.

For my nephews that are at the curious and adventurious age, I wanted a fun creative way to label their gifts.  So their tags are part puzzle, part their initals, part decorations. I used the Savor the Season CD (retired MDS) for the banner template. I added another square by copying and pasting from another completed page then added the Christmas car wth the tree from 12 days of Christmas download and MERRY (which is the combo gift to them). I printed these at home and they measure 4x5. I added a piece of 4.25x5.25 matching cardstock to them for support. Each of my three nephews got 3 of the letters on their gifts. I pre-punch small holes and taped to the gifts. Then they can put the banner puzzle together with some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine once they solve the word. I figured they can display the banner in their playroom during the holidays.

I hope that you enjoy your holiday! Whether creating some last minute tags, spending time with family and friends, eating lots of food, or rejoicing in His birth!

Orchard Harvest Template Updo!

I just love MDS 2 and all the new features!
The doors are wide open in digital scrapbook designing with it!
Here is one reason why!

I took this adorable Orchard Harvest 11 x 8.5 designer template page and turned it into a 12x12 page.
Follow these steps:
Open a new project and go to Designer Templates.
Find the project in 11x8.5 and go thru the process to open the page.
Go to Edit on your top menu bar.
Select Change Project Size/Type.
Select the project type that you want (I did 12x12 photobook)
Click on replace.
Now the process will start converting your project.

Once finished some of your items will need to be adjusted. I had to copy and paste another row on the background jars to the bottom. I also had to adjust the placement of the images lower on the page. I added my title in the two text spaces with some stamp brush images. Just love the title! The photo was recolored to Crumb Cake.  Perfect page for my creative block! Thanks MDS for the template!

Your turn! Give it a try and then add your sample to MDS.net. Tell them Cindy sent you!

Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Family Frame

Our MDS Blog Hop is on hiatus thru December now. We will be back in January with some new exciting changes!  I will still be posting some MDS projects thru the month so be sure to check back here often.

My Digital Studio Family Wall Art

My friend and MDS partner Monika (also link to HER BLOG) and I had a lot of fun creating this Hybrid Wall Art Project for our last My Digital Studio Club. I just love mine and so did everyone else in our class!

We made 2.5 x 4.25 tags in MDS and had them printed thru SU. Then we added hybrid elements with various Stampin Up products to completed the frame. We were trying to promote using the Stampin Up printing process and how a variety of ways which you can use MDS print items in your home decor. We showed several finished projects in the class. It was alot of fun!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
Have a great day!
