Leadership See Ya Later Card 1

Moving on to another great stamp set called See Ya Later from the Sale-A-Bration Special! I so wanted to make a scrapbook page with this image from the stamp set. One of my daughter's Allison nickname is "Alligator" but the creative mojo was just not flowing to get it done BUT no worries, it WILL happen! It is a perfect stamp for her!

Some of my favorite things on this card:
The gators going up the slant edge of the paper. Under the paper is the other part of the stamp set but you can not see it.
The cork strip is from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit. I just cut a strip of it off.
The texture of the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder under the chevron border punch.
The Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit Crisp Cantaloupe Twine ties with the knots at the ends.
I hope that you like my card and can use it to inspire you! Check back soon for more Leadership display samples! Much more to share!
Thanks for stopping by!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #53

This week Beth bought us a challenge to pretend to use our "scraps" to create this scrapbook page.  I really had a lot of fun with this sketch!  I first put in my punch "strips" in different lengths and the photos of my daughter and our pooch. Then the page just went from there!
I copy and paste a row of the sketch doggie image from All in the Family download using my align tools and spacing tools. Next I grouped them and copy paste several rows of them to get my background paper. And since my background was busy enough, I went to just solid cardstock for my "scraps". I just used my color palette line up for making my ombre look of pinks. Just some more re-coloring on the red dotted ribbon and flowers to fill in the design. Call it doggie done!

But wait! I have one more for ya! I played around with the sketch and turned it on its side and added a few more strips. I used the Beautiful Today download for the dsp and stamp images.

You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every two weeks.

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Hexagon Hive Love

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are moving on to our February box of Stampin' UP products from the 2014 Occasions Catalog! This box was full of the Kaleidoscope Product Suite which was super fun to use! We hope you stay with our Artisan Design Team Blog Hop over the next few months to inspire your creative juices!

You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my funky geometric hexagon love card.
(Jeanna Bohanon made our fabulous February edition of Blog Hop Buttons! Adorable, huh?)

My favorite things on this card:
* Using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die and the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper to get all those mini hexagons in a random pattern
* The Love you to the Moon stamp set which was inked up with Strawberry Slush and Basic Black Stampin Up marker
* Cutting the Basic Black 3/4" Chevron Ribbon in half to get a thinner striped ribbon
* The Basic Metal Buttons add a bit of gray and weight to the card

My birthday has been a tough day so definitely having some cake thanks to my mom AND homemade rice krispies thanks to my dear friends Turner and Justine!!!  ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!

Leadership You're Lovely Scrapbook Page

I think this was my favorite sample that I turned in. I really wish I could have kept it!
Some of the favorite things:
The layer on top of layer look even with the chevron paper gift bag
The vellum to tone down the splatter
The stitching (took me twice to get it perfect)
Unraveling the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Kit Twine
That picture of my daughter was perfect for the page! (Luv her smile!)
Some close ups of the details:
I hope that you like my scrapbook page and can use it to inspire you! Check back soon for more Leadership display samples! Much more to share!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #52

This was a great sketch by Heidi for the challenge! I turned it on the side and started to play with the "music" theme of it. I immediately went to the Global Search and typed in MUSIC. That blue music label embellishment from Play Date Quick Accents came up first and it all began from there. I had a lot more layers on the card like paper doilies and more splatter but I took them off. I like the cleaner and simpler look of this design. That is one of my favorite things about digital designing with MDS! Add and delete with no mess and no waste.

You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every two weeks.
