Hump Day Wednesday

Wednesday are no longer good days for me.  I added a day of working in the Atlanta office, Allison now has tutoring after school so I have to pick her up and then it is the rush to get to Confirmation class for Megan and then drive as fast and safely as I can across town to get Allison to dance class in time.  Just call me the new employee of the Mom Taxi Co!

I am also prepping for two events this weekend.  I have been hired to do a wedding scrapbook memory album.  I designed the pages on MDS and then had a first meeting with my customer to show her.  It was so great to use MDS to show her the pattern, colors and layout on the computer!  It really sold her on me doing the album for her.  So I got my supplies and now I will be creating the complete 24 page book. Here is the first page of the memory book to share with you.

Next up on my list is MY FIRST STAMPIN UP WORKSHOP with my dear friend Christine!!!!!  I have the projects ready to go and the make and takes ready to go too!  I just need to work on a scavenger hunt of the catalog and prizes.  I plan to pull some older crafts from my craft shows for the prizes so that makes it easy.

Have a magical HUMP day!

You get a Valentine's Card

Here is the last card I created using the Vintage Embossing Folder, the Decorative Label Punch and the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set from the new Holiday Mini Catalog!  This would also be good for an anniversary card to your favorite guy in the world.
The base card is in Real Red, embossed in the Vintage folder and sponged in Early Espresso.  The Crumb Cake is 3 3/4"x 5" and sponged as well.  The Early Espresso striped ribbon was cut and glued to the card in place.  I stamped the sweet sentiment image on Very Vanilla and sponged too. To create the border around the Decorative Label, you punch out two label pieces, cut in half horizontally and the other vertically looking like a V shape.  Glue them to the back of the Very Vanilla piece.  The hearts are punched from the Trio Hearts punch in Crumb Cake and Real Red with sponged edges. Then popped up with the sentiment piece with dimensionals.
Thank you all for stopping by this week and checking out my challenge!  I hope it challenges you to create different cards using the same items over and over.
Have a magical day!

You get a Christmas Card

I absolutely LOVE this card and it just might be my Christmas card this year.  Yikes, NO snowmen but oh well.  Again the Vintage embossing folder is on the Old Olive base card and I sponged the edges with Early Espresso. The Decorative Label punch is done in Early Espresso and use as an embellishment piece.  The divine and elegant sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments is stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, sponged on the edges and popped up with dimensionals.  The Real Red 5/8" ribbon is wrapped around the card and tied in a simple knot.  I used the Boho Blossums punch for the Real Red flower and added the NEW Pearls (largest size) kit.
Super easy to create 60 cards all at once for friends and family!  You need those three items shown in Monday's post, Early Espresso Classic Ink, 2 packs of Old Olive cardstock, 1 pack Early Espresso, Real Red and Very Vanilla cardstock, 1 roll of 5/8" grosgrain Real Red ribbon, 1 pack of dimensionals and a sponge dobber. Total cost @ $90.00 and you will have lots of paper left to make Friday's card too!
Have a magical day!

You get a Thanksgiving Card

The second card created was also the swap at my last Starz meeting at Monika's home.  I love the color of this card: Early Espresso, More Mustard, Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla.  The Vintage embossing folder is on the card base.  The Decorative Label is an embellishment piece which was sponged in More Mustard. The Seasonal Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Early Expresso and sponged on the edges of the Very Vanilla piece. That is popped off the card with dimensionals. I stamped in Cajun Craze ink with the Autumn Splendor stamp set leaf on the Cajun Craze 3 3/4 x 5 piece. The 5/8" Old Olive ribbon is wrapped on that piece.
If you go to Monika's post on her blog here: PAWS STARZ SWAPS You can see my swap card too.  But it has one thing different.  Can you see it?

You get a Halloween Card

Here is the first card that you get from using the Vintage embossing folder, the Decorative Label Punch and the Seasonal Sentiments Stamp set.  Colors are Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black.  I used markers in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry to color in sentiment lettering.  You see the little Ghost right?  That is our new Owl punch! You punch the body of the owl, cut off the feet and turn it around.  I left the eyes just black cause they look creepy that way.  The google eyes on him look better.  The border around the sentiment was created by taking the decorative label punch and cut one in half adding it to the back.  I used dimensionals to pop that off the card.  The wonderful grosgrain striped ribbon in Pumpkin Pie and stapled it to the card.
Love the look of the vintage Halloween and so fitting as I ride the Haunted Mansion with 999 grim grinning ghosts this week!
Have a magical day!

Take these three and you get what?

I recently got some new items and I created a challenge for myself.  How can you take limited number of items and create more than one card with those items? I took the new Decorative Label Punch, the Vintage embossing folder and the Seasonal Sentiments stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog that you see in the picture.  Over the next four days, you will see how I created four holiday cards using just these three items, cardstock, and ribbon. I wanted to show at a workshop that I have coming up, how you can take similar items to create more than just one card.  I think you will love the cards!
Have a magical day!

MDS Family

TGFF!  Thank God for Family! and Fridays!  heehee  Today's MDS page was done during Heather's Simply MDS 2 online class.  I love the color combo, River Rock, Marina Mist and Basic Black and were brought together from the picture of our family. See the colors? I use some of the new downloaded DSP of River Rock and Marina Mist.
I was just about to finish this page when I noticed my Hallmark Disney Quote statue that I have in my front entry way.  If you do not know, we are HUGE Disney fans!  So the quote from Walt Disney is quite fitting for this page.  I think it I will have this page printed from Stampin Up and frame it in a 12x12 black frame.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a magical day!
