Thankful Thursday

No creations today as I am watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade with my girls and having pull apart Monkey bread. Yumm-O!  Later, we head over to my parents for the BIG traditional dinner.  Doing laundry today as I got my new washer and dryer yesterday and LOVE THEM!  Thankful for that! I am also thankful this year to have family, faith, friends, a home, jobs, our health and love! 
Enjoy your turkey day however you celebrate it!

Wacky Wednesday

I made this on Heather's online punch class.  I changed him a little.  I cut the tree in half and placed him off to the side of the card.  I used the cuttlebug and snowflake emboss to create the hills of snow.  Love the gingham red ribbon on this and the simple sentiment.  I saved the another half of the tree and made another card with him of the other side.  This was one of my favorite punch art character that she created.

Let it Snow Tuesday

I made this sweet snowman for a co-worker and fellow snowman lover for her birthday.  I used Bashful Blue DSP stamped with Bashful Blue ink of snowflakes.  It is on the hard backing from the DSP packaging cut 5.5" x 10" and rounded edges.  Added circles using my Coluzze cutter in black and white.  Using the Key Tab punch and Modern Label punch for the hat in Black.  The eyes, smile and buttons are 1/4" circle punch.  The nose is Pumpkin pie hand cut. Then horizontal punch x 2 on one side to add red and white ribbons.  You can put a circle photo in the bottom circle as well!

I love how he turned out!

Made for Monday

So thankful for some really great friends and NEW friends today!  I had a blast on Friday night!  Everyone loved the projects and many wanted to make more of one for teacher's gifts.  I will show that later this week.  Several of them commented on my thankful display on my mantle and told them about this one.  I made these last year for the craft shows.  Wishing now that I had saved one for myself!  The squares are 4 x 4 and just tied with different colored matching ribbon onto the floral sway or whatever you call it.  Another way is to put two holes on each side top and bottom and tie with ribbon to make it hinge. You can use any combo of fall colored paper to make this.

Getting Ready for Christmas Friday

So I do not know what happened to Wednesday and Thursday so let's move on to FRIDAY!  Tonight is my scrap night with my friends and we are going to make this Christmas Planner created by Heather Summers.  It uses four sheets of Designer Paper and the 12 x 12 cardboard backing that comes with the paper.  It is designed to create pouches to hold the 8-10 envelopes with tag punch for you to place wish lists, events, recipes, and more.  Now you can put the year on it and scrapbook it at the end of the holidays, but I decided to make mine to keep out each Christmas and just replace the envelopes each year.I used the retired Simply Scrappin kit from last year.  My ladies will be using the Merry Moments DSP in the currant catalog.  The embellishments will vary as well.  I hope to take some pictures of the finished projects to show you here. 

I am looking forward to tonight as we are wearing holiday pjs, listening to holiday music and eating yummy holiday treats while we stamp and scrap all night long! Really getting ready for the holiday season!

2010 coming sooner then later!

Sorry I have been MIA but I have been...prep for a craft show, youth meeting, doctor and dentist appts, lots of work on the real job and computer trouble getting to blogspot to post pictures.  I did manage to take a Friday off and head to Archiver's to play and buy!  HEEHEE! 

Here are the 2010 calendars I did this year to sell at my craft show.  I absolutely love how they turned out!  Thanks to a talented lady on Splitcoaststampers that name escapes me at this moment.  This Season of Friendship stamp set was in the Mini Catalog last year and they brought it back for the new catalog.  It is one of my all-time favorites!  On the top is Winter and Fall and below is Spring and Summer.  I wish I had taken a picture of it standing up.  The ribbon is the part that keeps it together as an easel.  Then once the seasons switch, you just undo the ribbon and re-thread it and make a bow.  Much easier than last year's version.

I sold these for $5.00 and one lucky lady bought all of them that I had at Saturday's craft show.  :o)  Yeah me!

Made for a Monday

What a weekend!  Friday and Saturday was stampin and creating which is the best way to spend the day!  I did not get all my projects done but enough to come home and finish them.  Then Sunday morning was our 1st youth Wash and Worship Car Wash which turned out to be a huge success!  We did 36 cars in 4 hours! OY!  Everyone did a good job and we will definitely hold this fundraiser in the spring.

On to today's project...last year, my SIL told me that I should make table settings to sell at my craft shows so I came up with this simple table setting for Thanksgiving.   I did make a simple version of this set to sell in a set of 8.  That was just a lot of leaves die cutting that took forever!  The following pictures are the close up of the napkin band, the name place card and the treat box made from the pillow box die cut.
