Whew! Just in time.

I just finished sending 102 My Digital Studio individual 12x12 pages to Stampin Up Printing! YES 102! But I am nearly all caught up with my scrapbooking back to 2008! Woohoo! I completed on MDS our 2009 Christmas, 2010 Christmas, Vero Beach 2008, Disney 2008, Year 2008, Year 2009 and a good part of Year 2010. Woohoo! I would have NEVER been able to do this without My Digital Studio! It has completely changed the way I look at scrapbooking and do even other projects.  Individual pages you might ask? Well, I have the scrapbook albums already that I paid for so not to waste them I print the individual pages to fill them. I also like to add embellishments to the printed pages. One day I will get a completed book printed and bounded. Maybe.

Here are some samples of each album that I got printed. You can also see more of my samples in the days to come on the MDS website  http://mydigitalstudio.net/profile/CindySchuster?xg_source=activity That is a direct link to my page and there you can see my samples and videos too.

Another thing I am SUPER EXCITED ABOUT! Being a SU demo! Tomorrow is a BIG, HUGE, MONSTEROUS DAY for SU demos! We get a sneak peak at the New Stampin UP 2011-2012 catalog! Retired stamp and accessories list come out! We can preorder and get our catalog with our first order!  Super perks for becoming a demo! You could even get the MDS program in your starter kit!  How awesome is that! Join my team today! Going Hybrid

Thank you everyone for the sweet comments about my Molly page! They put a smile on my face!

I wanted to share how I took a digital designed page and made it a combination of digitally printed and real materials which is called HYBRID.  Remember this post here:  APRIL WHAT?  So I took three of the pages and turned them into hybrid scrap pages. This is simple hybrid scrapbooking.
This is the front cover page.  I printed the trimmed 8.5x11 page on matte photo paper. Matted it on a piece of 8.5x11 whisper white.  Added that to a 12x12 crumb cake with background sand stamp in crumb cake ink.  Added the hemp twine on the right side.  I also added two real buttons of the colors that I had in hand.

Here are the next two pages in Digital.

And here are the hybrid pages.  I printed just the 8.5x11 part on matte photo paper.  Then I took Wild Wasibi and added the Dotted Scallop Border Punch and added to the sides.  The 8.5x11 Rich Razzleberry is just turned as a layer of color. The main background is 12x12 So Saffron.
I added the two flowers with a brad in real elements. See the pic below for a close up.
I was pretty excited about doing this hybrid process of scrapbooking. I have done more since these pages and it is it going to the next level up each time I create! More to come!
Have a magical day!

Missing Molly

Remember me posting about the up and downs in life happens on Monday...well I want to share a down moment that just happened recently.
Our lovin sweet dog, Molly passed away just one week ago today.  She was nearly 17 years old and lived a long and happy life with us.  For the past five years, she has been living in the house with us since our big boy Toby passed away.  The past week has been hard to deal with her loss because we are missing her presence here in the house.  She was my "alarm clock" and followed me around the house as I got the girls ready for school, then she was always with me in my office as I worked or stamped.  She was Howard's late night companion until he would say "Come on Molly, time for bed" and then she would follow him back to the bedroom where we had a bed for her next to ours.  Watching a family movie on Saturday night, I found myself searching for her in her favorite spots to lay.  As we all got ready to leave for a party the other day, I caught myself asking if Molly had gone out to do her biz before we leave and we always would be sure to say to her when leaving the house, "We will be back. Bye Molly" so I got choked up leaving.  There are many other great Molly memories, too many to share but we treasure each one. Many tears in the past days but we were so happy to have her in our lives.  She will be missed.
My tribute to my sweet Molly Sue:
Momma misses you, baby girl.
You were the best dog!
Thank you!

Birthday Hybrid Project

Back in April, I went to the Scrap Cabin in North GA with 8 other scrapping friends and had a blast!  I did NOT work on a Disney Scrapbook this time! Shocking I know!  Instead, I found a birthday designed album that I decided to FINALLY do! The concept was to take a single 8x11 page for each of my daughter's birthday over the past 13 years for Megan and 8 years for Allison. I would put their birthday pages in number order...example Megan 1st birthday on left side and Allison's 1st birthday on the right side. I absolutely love how it turned out!
Another new thing I did was hybrid scrapbooking! I can tell you that I think I have found my new calling in the scrapbooking world!  I would create the page in 12x12 on My Digital Studio and then print it on my printer in 8.5x8.5.  I do not have a printer that can do 12x12 printed pages so you have to do 8.5x11 printing. I used a combination of matte photo paper and premium photo paper to print my pages based on if I had the pictures on my computer or not.
Here are two samples thru MDS that I completed and printed.  I will show you a picture of the final hybrid pages to show you on a coming up post. I have much more hybrid projects to share!
Have a magical day!

Life happens...

Life has been really busy this past few weeks with lots of up and downs. Unfortunately something had to go on the backburner and that was my blog. It is not that I have NOT been stamping projects and cards or doing more My Digital Studio projects and scrap pages cause I have been doing that, but it is the time to photograph, download and set up posts that takes up that extra time.

One of the ups has been my decision to attend Stampin Up! Convention in July this year! I can not tell you how EXCITED I am! I have been wanting to go since I started as a demo over 4 years ago!  I am going with fellow demo and friend Monika Davis as well as many other wonderful demo/friends to be.  I will be meeting up with Wendy, my upline too! I have missed her and her classes!  I am also super excited about seeing many of the bloggers that I follow on the internet like Heather Summers and others.  I am excited to attend the classes especially the MDS classes. I really want to learn to GROW and what I can do to kick this biz in gear again! I am totally excited for the new catalog coming out July 1st and all the new things we will learn about the products at Convention!

In my cheerful glee after making the jump into convention mode, I created this journal thru My Digital Studio to have printed out and take on my trip.  I used the journal template on the system and changed it to my theme of "grow".  I might have SU print the complete journal or print it myself to cover a notebook on the front and back.
Thanks for checking in today!
Have a magical day!
