Leadership You're Lovely 3D Muslin Bag

I am back today with a Leadership Display Sample. This time it is a 3D project using the Salebration stamp set called You're Lovely.  I thought it would be a great idea to use our muslin bags as a fragrant pouch. Remember those? You would place them in your clothing drawers to freshin your things. OR you could use this just as a great gift bag for Mother's Day too!

I used Staz-On Black ink pad to stamp the images on Whisper White Cardstock and the mini muslin bag itself. I added a banner of the FABULOUS Salebration DSP called Sweet Sorbet. I removed the regular twine tie and replaced it with the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack Pool Party Twine. Just used a large safety pin to thread it through. To finish, I stuffed a Paper Doily into the top of the bag and used a few glue dots to hold it in place.

I hope that you like my project and can use it to inspire you! Check back soon for more Leadership display samples! Much more to share!
Thanks for stopping by!

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Starburst Circle Gift bag

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! Our hop this month will be full of inspiration from the new 2014 Occasions Catalog! Be sure to come back each week!
Today, you just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my "whatever" gift bag made with Starburst Sayings!

Really sorry for the delay in getting all the details on this post till today. It has been a roller coaster of a week so far. I am from the Atlanta area and if you have not heard, this area was hit with a major snow and ice storm on Tuesday. I left work in north Atlanta at 1:25pm and I finally got home at 12:30am! My daughters were stuck at their schools and my husband Howard walked a mile and a half there to get them and walk them home during the storm. He also fell down a steep hill resulting in a what we thought dislocated shoulder. After 6 hours in the ER today (Thursday), we found out it is a Stage III AC dislocation. Off to a specialist to see if treatment/healing or surgery. I am exhausted and prayers have gotten me thru this all.
Back to the project, I was putting together my Starburst Saying Stamp Set and instantly saw a pattern in the rubber remnants. I just placed the rubber on the bag and using my Stampin Up Markers placed the circles in a random pattern. Easy peasy!
My favorite item in the Occasions catalog is the Tag Topper Punches. Here I used the angled one which is perfect for any basic tag. I added the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper cut with the Banner Framelits Dies behind it. I colored the Calypso Coral Marker right over the Essential Wooden Elements arrow. Another bit of fun was taking some matching tissue paper and cutting it with the Fringe scissors. They are fun!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you and thanks for sticking with me this week!

Fan Fair Kit - stitching
Mocha Morning DSP
Eventful Year - background hexagon wire DSP
See Ya Next Year - washi tape recolored
Convention 2012 - STAR stamp image

Leadership Watercolor Wonder Scrapbook Page

Here is the first of my scrapbook pages that I made for the Leadership Display and it was using the Watercolor Wonder Suite of products from the 2014 Occassions Catalog.  I took the Watercolor Wonder Designer Notecards and used them to create my page.  Another way to use those cards rather than notes! They are the Watercolor paper but with designs on them.  I cut them in half and used the fronts of them for each one of the "blocks".

I used the Happy Watercolor stamp set with Jet Black StazOn ink pad. I used my aqua painter with Calypso Coral reinker to color in the flowers. I added a piece of the dotted Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum on top of the dotted watercolor card front. I took the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to the watercolor green card front for my favorite design texture. I used the back of one card the cut it into a little flag and punched our a small heart.  Put a few stripes of the Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape behind it. I added some metallic gold thread to the Island Indigo Baker's Twine. Of course, a favorite picture of me and my girls from Mother's Day 2013 completed the page.

I hope that you like my scrapbook page and can use it to inspire you! Check back soon for more Leadership display samples! Much more to share!

MDS Blog Hop - What ya doing in MDS January?

WELCOME TO THE MDS BLOG HOP!
A bunch of us have joined together to share our passion for digital designing with Stampin' UP's My Digital Studio.  These ladies are SERIOUSLY talented in MDS and I am thrilled to be on this Blog Hop with them! You will find us blog hopping on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month! We will have a "theme" selected on the first hop and then a "What we are doing in MDS" on the second hop.
I just got this new My Digital Studio download called Love is all Around Kit and I took some time to make a scrapbook page with it.  I love the arrows and the quote bubbles in this download. All the Designer Series Paper with it is fantastic! I so see re-coloring a bunch of them for other projects.
This is a wonderful picture of my daughter Megan with her dad. Very special to get a picture of them together also heart-breaking as our sweet girl is growing up so fast in front of our eyes.

Just click on the NEXT button and it will take you to the next person on the hop. We hope this inspires you to get into My Digital Studio!

Artisan Wednesday Wow - Peachy Keen Georgia!

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! Our hop this month will be full of inspiration from the new 2014 Occasions Catalog! Be sure to come back each week!
Today, you just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my Peachy Keen card and brag book! Cathy mentioned something about an e-cutter last week, so I am bringing it to ya this week!

I got an e-cutter FINALLY! Then on a stampin/scrapin weekend away with friends, I was able to get it out of the box and start playin with it! It is SOOOO FUN! My brain just started running with ideas! I followed a few fellow Artisan's e-cutter videos and BOOM I had it! I added the MDS Nifty Fifty state punch of Georgia to my library first. Then I was able to enlarge the punch to around 4". I cut it out of Whisper White cardstock.  You could do this with any state, but Georgia fit the "peachy" part well.
Here is something I found out, the Chervon Bordor Punch is the same as the Essential Wooden Elements chevron pieces. I just had to trim with my paper snips a bit to get the exact length. I wish you could get more of those wooden chevron pieces in bulk! LOVE THEM!

BONUS PROJECT:
As soon as I saw this stamp set Peachy Keen, I pictured this little brag book for a little summer adventure coming up. I used my sweet friend Corinne's tutorial to make the clear envelope brag book. You can see her tutorial HERE. Super easy to make and such a great idea for a quick mini scrapbook! I have used it SEVERAL times!
I also stamped a bunch of extras from the Peachy Keen stamp set and cut them out. Now when we get back from our trip later this year, I can add some elements and journaling to the printed photos. Did you see that I cut the Essential Wooden Element? I cut the banner piece in half! Use the craft scissors or heavy duty scissors to cut. I put some Chocolate Chip Marker on the end to make it look like it was never cut.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!
I promise the e-cutter is worth it and not as scary as it seems!

Leadership Watercolor Wonder Card

Ready for some great inspiration with the Leadership Display Samples from the Occasions Catalog as well as the Salebration stamp sets? Some of us Artisans are posting several at once, while some of us are posting one a day several days a week. Just so you know, I will post mine twice a week - Tuesdays and Fridays in between my other regular posts.  You can also see my labels on the right side "Leadership Samples" and you can see all of them as they post there.

I am going to begin by showing the Occasions Catalog Suite that I was selected to create for - Watercolor Wonder which if you follow my blog than you know that is "SO" me! This card was fun for me to create! I used the Designer Series Paper from Watercolor Wonder and the Gold Foil Vellum paper but put them at an angle. I cut the watercolor paper out of the Framelit and then used Daffodil Delight reinker in my aqua painter to make the color wash on it. Popped on some 1/2" circle punch confetti. The twine is Crisp Cantaloupe twine from the Salebration trio of twine and I added metallic gold thread to it. This also was a larger card at 5x7.

I hope that you like my card and can use it to inspire you! Check back soon for more Leadership display samples! Much more to share!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #50

Tami brought a fun challenge with a card sketch this week. First I was excited to use a new download that I got called Beautiful You. I love watercolor and that is my medium when painting. I was so excited to see it on digital form! Not sure if I really got the "challenge" part of this week right, but could not get it to work with my design. So here is what I came up with. That is what is so great about a sketch challenge...you can let it inspire you to go in whatever direction you want!
You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every two weeks.

Leadership Stampin' Up biz cards

Stampin' Up's Leadership Convention is over, so the members of the Artisan Design Team are sharing the samples we created!

Ready for some great inspiration with the products from the Occasions Catalog as well as the Salebration stamp sets? Some of us are posting several at once, while some of us are posting one a day several days a week. Just so you know, I will post mine twice a week - Tuesdays and Fridays in between my other regular posts.  You can also see my labels on the right side "Leadership Samples" and you can see all of them as they post there.
Today I want to share the two samples I created using the exclusive Leadership Stamp set and the new Business Photopolymer Stamp Set called the Best Decision Ever.  I had my fabulous downline and all my stampin friends in mind on this first one. I used the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit so that you can use the whole set to make many of these at once.
The second one was inspired by my friend Monika. I thought this would be a great card for her to send to a NEW customers that came to her card classes. I love the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set that has a fun stamping artsy quality that goes perfectly with this stamp sentiment. Again I used the Tag a Bag Accesory Kit on the cards for a mass production appeal. BUT you could use any Designer Series Paper with the Angled Tag Topper punch to made the same tag!

(here is the team's samples on display with these stamp sets)
I hope that you like my cards and can use them to inspire you
in your Stampin' Up biz or just as a card layout.
Thanks for stopping by!

Artisan Wednesday WOW - My Retro Fresh Cards

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! Our hop this month will be full of inspiration from the new 2014 Occasions Catalog! Be sure to come back each week!
Today, you just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my version of a Retro Fresh card!

Last week, several of the Artisan Design Team members posted projects using the Retro Fresh Designer Series Paper so this week I decided to share my version. I was inspired to create something for my brother's BIG 40 birthday next month!
I think some of my favorite parts are the following
: the Retro Fresh Washi Tape on the Twill Ribbon
: the Starburst Framelit piece cut piece
: using another stamp senitment in the Quote Bubble Framelits
: the punch board created DSP envelope to match the card
: using Retro Fresh Washi Tape on the envelope
And just for good measure on using up more of that Retro Fresh DSP, I made another card. I absolutely love the Essentials Wooden Elements! They are so cute! Notice the Baker's Twine in another color? I made my own using the Tangerine Tango Stampin Up Write Marker. I always wanted Baker's Twine in more colors and now I can using this technique! FUN!
Be sure to check on Stampin Up Facebook page for our monthly Artisan project share! I totally love my project this month! Hope you do too!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #49

Joan brings us another great page challenge this week! Perfect for a little Christmas recap page of me!
Instantly I wanted to group the boxes together and put one picture in them. Ever try that technique? Super cool if you have the "right" photo for it. But I love the look of these for focusing on just the key person in the photo. I had plenty of those on hand from Christmas.  The background was recolored and opacity turned way down. I love the burlap behind the photos too!

You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every two weeks.

MDS Blog Hop - Desktop Screen and Phone Wallpaper

WELCOME TO THE MDS BLOG HOP!
A bunch of us have joined together to share our passion for digital designing with Stampin' UP's My Digital Studio.  These ladies are SERIOUSLY talented in MDS and I am thrilled to be on this Blog Hop with them! You will find us blog hopping on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month! We will have a "theme" selected on the first hop and then a "What we are doing in MDS" on the second hop.
I am seriously bummed. My Digital Studio Team did not offer their free monthly desktop screens this year! It was a special treat each month to see what they made and then get to download it for free! I could enjoy it for 30 days and then get another one. But that ended December 31st. So what is a digital design girl to do? MAKE HER OWN! It was so quick and simple to do! Totally inspired by the weather outside this January for many of us around the countries this time of year.
Downloads used:
Home for the Holidays (snow ground), Jingle and Joy (trees), and Daily December Memories (saying and snowflakes)
For my iPhone, I took the Celebrate 25 screen I had made and changed it up to a favorite quote I have seen on Pinterest and bright cheery yellow! I just sent it to myself in an email and download it to my phone from there. Save to your camera roll and set as background.

Just click on the NEXT button and it will take you to the next person on the hop. We hope this inspires you to get into My Digital Studio! The ladies have some REALLY great ideas for wallpapers and desktop screens this time!!!!!!

Artisan Wednesday WOW - It's a multi-purpose card!

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are moving on to our January box of Stampin' UP products from the 2014 Occassions Catalog! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS CATALOG! It is full of fun and fantastic products! I LOVE IT ALL! We hope you stay with our Artisan Design Team Blog Hop over the next few months to inspire your creative juices!
You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you come check out my simple birthday card for just about any age.
(Jeanna Bohanon made our January edition of Blog Hop Buttons!)
January is a beginning of a new year, new schedule, new plans, new goals! Like my one new goal - ACTUALLY make and send cards out this year to everyone special in my life! In order to do that, I decided to get a jump start on having cards on hand for birthdays. Perfect timing as I needed one a "teen" birthday ASAP!

I used the NEW Peachy Keen stamp set (W#133110 C#133113). I love the arrow images in this set! The color combo is Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Whisper White. They were inspired by the colors in the shirt I had bought the "teenager" for her birthday. Very trendy top from a local boutique in town called Dress Up. I die cut the glimmer silver paper with the numbers. I made several "blank" age cards so that I could add the "age" or numbers later. I will probably be sending this to my sister-in-law when she turns the 4-0 later this year! You could even leave the "age" off and use it as a basic "hello" card! Multi-purpose card! Call me a HAPPY girl!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #48

Do you not just love the re-color tool? It just makes your embellishments so much more than you purchased them! I was able to re-color the orange washi tape and the silver heart clip to Melon Mambo color in a flash! Something you can not do easily in traditional products at all!
This week's challenge actually comes from ME! My first one! Super simple so I know I plan to see a lot of samples on the MDS Monday blog!

You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every two weeks.
