MDS Blog Hop Friday - Must have downloads

I made this awhile ago so don't blast me for it. :) I am not sure if I shared this, but I wanted to show it because after waiting and waiting FOREVER, I finally got that download Downtown Grunge Kit. I do not know WHY I waited so long! I LOVE IT! This layout comes with the kit and I thought the grunge look fit my rocker girl. To the point, get this kit if you do not have it! IT ROCKS!

I have way to many favorites but here are the ones that come to my head first:
Stamp Images - Epic Overlays, Fancy Fan, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Decorative Overlays
Punches - Decorative Label Punch, Butterflies, Labels Collection
Embellishments - Digi Tape, Taffeta Ribbon, Rhinestones and Pearls, Mis-stitched
Designer Series Paper - Howlstooth and Scaringbone,  First Edition, Parker's Patterns
Kits - Twitterpated, On the Go, Downtown Grunge, 12 Days of Christmas, Walk in the Park II and Back to School and many more.....

Thanks for stopping by! Sorry for the delay. Hope it was worth it!

MDS Blog Hop Friday - Postcard

What I love most about MDS is that it helps me in my everyday duties too!
I needed a postcard for some invites at church. MDS and this week's blog hop challenge to the rescue! I was able to use the super cute postcard template from the Fifty Nifty download to complete my mission. I combined the two side to make it my own. The Texas state was already filled with DSP and I just moved the heart where San Antonio is. Changed the title a bit and add my own text.
I printed these at home as 3.5x5postcards so that I can place them in their mailboxes today.
Love when MDS makes my life - easy peasy!

This swweeeet template was also one of my Convention hybrid swaps as a postcard too. The heart punch is popped up with a dimensional, Pool Party Ribbon and all layered on cardstock.

Few things happening:
#1 Check out MDS.net for the newest MDS2 update! Fixed are involved so be sure to update here: http://mydigitalstudio.net/page/updates-2

MDS Blog Hop - Summer Fun!

Our summer was a busy one, that is for sure! But the one day that stands out was our day trip to the zoo with my nephews for their birthdays. It was super hot but we got annual passes so we will be back there with them in cooler temperatures.
I got a chance to use the Back to School Kit for this summer of fun page. I love the whole kit! I added the Nursery Alphabet Images of the animals that we saw at the zoo. The title and arrows are from the Epic Overlays download. The font in the text is called Tangerine. I really loved the look of the handwritten chalk look that I got with them. The photo layout is also one of the new photo layouts on MDS2.  Another bonus on the upgrade to MDS2.
Off to prep for my MDS Club class tomorrow! Can not wait to see all the ladies! More info on our Introduction to MDS2 class and MDS Digi Crop Nites will be coming soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

My Christmas tags made in MDS2 come from page 38 in the catalog. I made a video showing you the new process of printing thru Stampin Up printing services. They have made it so much easier to print multiple projects at one time. Be sure to check it out!

See here 31% OFFER to read all about it. I am taking full advantage of the 31% off! I am doing photobooks, swatchbooks, individual pages, cards and tags for myself AND Christmas gifts for my friends and family.

MDS Blog Hop - Our 1st Anniversary!

I can not believe it has been one year since we kicked this MDS Blog Hop off! What an amazing year it has been! So to celebrate our HUGE achievement, today's challenge was to create a Anniversary Card! So mine did not quite get to Anniversary but stayed a Thank you Card instead.
This card shows just a few of the new fabulous features in the MDS2 program. They are Cropping Stamp Images, Coloring Tool on Stamps, and Watermark. Yep, I used the coloring tool to color those leaves. It works better when you zoom in while in the coloring tool screen so you can see the detail. The YOU is from Your my Sunshine stamp image and in the new Watermark color in Color Fill. (tip- hit RESET in the Color Palette for it to show up) The "thank" is from Teeny Tiny Wishes Thank You stamp image. The "very" is from Send me Soaring hope everything stamp image. I just cropped it to VERY only. WOW, huh? Possibilities are endless with cropping! The "much" is a text font called Shadowed Serif. I made my own background with heart to heart stamp image from Wedding Words. There are groups and groups of them on a lower opacity background of same color. The flower stamp images are also from Wedding Words.
The back of the card features how I made my own watermark. I was able to create it and then group it. (group and ungroup are now located on right click too!) Now right click and save group with naming it. Now when you are in ANY other size project, you can right click and see Import Saved Group. I even saved the MDS logo to place on all my cards.

Since it is our anniversary we are offering YOU a challenge! We would love to see you create a "celebration-ish" card on MDS or MDS2 and post it to www.mydigitalstudio.net and tag it "MDS Blog Hop Challenge Card". Then we will go check them all out!

THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping by our blog hop over the past year! Love to hear what you think so take a minute and be sure to leave a comment. Even what you would like to see moving into our second year.
