Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop - Flourish in Color Combo

Welcome BACK to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here for another wonderful year! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!

This week is an "open to create" week but to stay within the parameters of goodies from our Artisan box. I chose to use the Flourish Thinlits and Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set mixed with a soft color combo mixed with a little metallic copper. I challenged myself to use one of the new In-Colors called Sweet Sugarplum partly because I am not a "purple" fan.

I stamped off the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set image with Sweet Sugarplum Ink first to create the background. I also stamped just the word YOU over and over on the butterflies. The Copper Embossing Powder is hard to photo but it is so pretty in person.
Sticking with the butterflies paired with this Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and Flourish Thinlits, I adore this card!  I even used the same dotted Copper pattern from Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape to make one of the leaves. Just line up a couple of strips on Whisper White cardstock and run thru the Big Shot with the thinlit. That is the Copper Metallic Thread on there too!
Here you can see the washi tape trick was used again but with the Butterflies Thinlits. And that is not linen thread but a piece of the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon for a little more textured twine.
So my goal when I started this project was to fall in love with Sweet Sugarplum...by mixing it with the right colors, I would say...pure SUCCESS!

Thanks for stopping by here and if you leave a comment then thanks for truly making my day!

Fancy Friday - Flashback to the 80's

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back with some NEW fancy friends too! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Then a few of us had to take a break so we invited some new FANCY friends to join us and make the blog hop a little longer for your enjoyment! These are a group of past and current Artisans that have become fast friends thru the Artisan journey.
Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month's challenge was "Flashback to the 80's" by using graphic stamp images seen in the new catalog or the new Painter's Pallete Designer Series Paper Stack or just loud and bright 80's inspired! Turned out to be quite a challenge for the team this month! Be sure to check out those who took on the challenge and gave it a go! Praise them with kind comments please! I know I will!
I like to pull double duty when I create cards plus I was inspired by the graphic design style of the 80's which is very youthful and fun! I need a card for my nephew who is turning 13 just around the corner. I took a pattern paper from the Painter's Palette Designer Series Paper Stack with the black and lots of paint splatters for my background card layer on Emerald Envy base. I used the Marquee Messages Stamp set for the arrow and stars. Then added the Large Numbers Framelits for the number 1 and 3. I added the striped Sweet Sugarplum washi tape across the card to match the same color in the splatters. The Peekaboo Peach adds a touch of more of the same splatter color.
The inside of the card is just one of the greetings in the Marquee Messages with some of the stars stamp images. I love that the Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape has the same pattern as the paper stack! Another reason I love Stampin' Up so much....coordinating products! I hope my nephew likes the card!

This "13th birthday" and all this "1980's memories" reminds me of a favorite movie of mine. 13 going on 30! with Jennifer Garner. Many 80's references that reminds me of my teenager years in the late 1980's and a cute story. Here is one of my favorite scenes from the movie and I can totally DO that dance to Thriller!

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop - Floral Affection

Welcome back to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here for another wonderful year! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!

This week we are showcasing our Artisan projects for the Stampin' UP Facebook Page this month. For this project, the team was to focus on the Love & Affection Stamp set, Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and/or New In-Colors. So I picked a combination of them all to use together!

I am totally loving this Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder with the flower bunch!  I was able to use it twice on this project in different ways. First the background is the embossing folder thru the Big Shot several times in different angles. Then I took my bone folder and flattened the raised areas. Second, I can show you a step by step tutorial on how to color and emboss and color again.
I used a half of 8.5x11 piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. You use Watermelon Wonder, Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach Classic Ink Pads with Sponge Daubers.
You want to first sponge on the Peekaboo Peach randomly.
Then you want to sponge the Flirty Flamingo nearby.
Next sponge on the Watermelon Wonder around the other two.
Add another round of Peekaboo Peach to fill in the area.
Now select a section of the coloring and emboss it with the Floral Affection TIEF.
You can see how some of the cardstock comes thru the color? No worries....

Color it in with more ink on the sponge daubers!
Now cut it out with your Paper Snips. (Careful as it will tear!)
To finish off, sponge the edges of it. Ta-da!

Don't forget to add some Peekaboo Peach splatter with your Aqua Painter and Ink, some cut leaves with the Love & Affection Stamp Set in Old Olive Cardstock and Classic ink, a layer background DSP from the Playful Palette DSP Stack and some stamped letters from the Labeler Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set!

Sneak Peaks with the Creation Station Blog Hop

The Creation Station Design and Blog Hop is back this month! I was beyond thrilled to be asked to join this group of talented women for a monthly blog hop to inspire you with creative top of the line projects with a theme from all around the globe! We hope that you hop thru each blog and leave comments as we all love to hear praise about our creations!

This month we were to show some sneak peaks of brand NEW Stampin' Up products from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I recently had to do some Artisan projects with the Love & Affection Stamp Set so I decided to do just one more card with the same stamp set. I also wanted to use two of the NEW 2016-2018 In-Colors: Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo.
Some of my favorite things on this card:
I used strips of the striped pattern paper from the Neutrals Collection DSP.
I stamped in a random pattern the images in the Love & Affection Stamp set is a circular formation in the center of the card.
I embossed the greeting from the You've Got This Stamp set in Gold Embossing Powder.
I added a few loops of the Gold Metallic Thread behind the Basic Black cardstock square.
I took my Wink of Stella in Gold and flicked some of it on the card for splatter across the card.

So I had added the top layer on the card before I decide to add the splatter and I did not want it get on the strips. I used the Floral Affection TIEF to cover the strips and then added the Wink of Stella splatter. You gotta do what you gotta do!

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Creations Station Blog Hop!

Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop - Affectionately Yours Suite

Welcome BACK to the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP Artisan Design Team Blog Hop!
I am so blessed that I get to create and inspire with these amazing Stampin' UP products and share with you all here for another wonderful year! Remember that every other Thursday, all 20 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Please keep hoppin' thru them all....you do not want to miss anyone of these amazing ladies!

This week is an "open to create" week but to stay within the parameters of goodies from our current Artisan box. Our followers are in for an extra special treat because we are using NEW products from the 2016-2017 Stampin' Up Annual Catalog! We mostly will be showcasing products from the Affectionately Yours Suite from page 44 and 45.
Let me go over the products from the Suite that I used for my card and matching envelope....
1. Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper - Bright pops of color with bold floral prints on one side and simple patterns on the other all on a Crumb Cake case. Some copper foil is mixed with two of the pieces of paper. I love the bright Cucumber Crush floral pattern in this one and the matching DSP on the envelope flap. I used a Crumb Cake envelope. Just place your DSP on the flat and cut out.
2. Love & Affection Stamp set - sweet greetings to send to anyone you know and great floral images that match the DSP above. I used just one of the greeting on my card.
3. Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - two smaller folders with floral images and I show the larger floral here.
4. Affectionately Yours Designer Washi Tape - 5 patterns that match the DSP with color and pattern. I used two of them here on my card. I took the tape and placed it on Whisper White cardstock and then cut out the strips. Just tear the edges to the length you want. Instant mini designer series paper strips!
5. Copper Stampin' UP Emboss Powder - I took the Metallic Doilies and embossed the white side with my VersaMark Pad, Copper Powder and Heat Gun. Tip: I just embossed the part of the doily I was planning to use and then cut off that part. I was able to hold it down with scissor tip on the white un-embossed side. Hard to photograph copper so there is a better close up below.
6. Cucumber Crush Thick Baker's Twine - Not part of the Suite but works well with the Suite color combo. Really glad to see more of the Thick Baker's Twine back in some new colors!
Be sure to see what all the other Artisans created with products from this Affectionately Yours Suite! You will be definitely inspired!
