Fancy Friday - Casing the Occasions Catalog

Welcome back to the Fancy Friday Blog Hop!
My fancy friends and I are back together again!!! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with a blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways each month! These are a group of past and current Stamping' UP Artisans that have become fast friends thru the amazing Artisan journey. Glad to have you here! We have 12 of us this month so don't miss a one!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we are casing a project from the Occasions Catalog using whatever products we wanted. I have been on a scraping kick lately so I opted to pick the scrapbook page layout from page 24 featuring my favorite Occasion suite products, Petal Passion. My talented friend Kaitlyn made this page for the catalog and her cute face is in the photo to the left.
I am using some BRAND NEW products coming out on June 1st from my favorite Annual suite called Nature's Poem. I used the Nature's Poem DSP, the Rooted in Nature stamp set and matching Nature's Root Framelits Dies. I used Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake and the new Grapefruit Grove for my color combo. I love all the texture in the leaves, rough teared edges, and fussy cut of stamp greeting. It is the little details that connect it all together.
I love this photo of my girl and man do I miss her! SO MUCH! But there is a silver lining as my husband and her will be here in Utah with me in just 3 months!

Thanks for stopping by my post for the Fancy Friday blog hop!

Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop with Barn Door

Hello friends and welcome to The Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! We are a selection of group of Stampin' UP! demonstrators and Artisans from all over the world that got together to form this interactive program where you can learn and participate with us each month!
So let us get right to this month's Crafty Carrot Co blog hop where we share some projects featuring the Barn Door Stamp set for our May 2018 interactive rewards program. It has matching Sliding Door Thinlits to make the Barn Door actually slide! But with my card here, it only gives the allusion that the door slides.
Couple of things to point out on this card:
I used the score blade on my trimmer to make the "shiplap" wood planks on the Soft Sky cardstock. I stamped the barn door image directly on the white grain pattern in the Wood Textures DSP stack. I cut up another pattern from Wood Texture DSP to make the wood layer behind the door. I used the Petals and More Thinlits from our April Program for the greenery on the wreath. I fussy cut out the word Blessings from the sentiment in the stamp set. The color palette was inspired from the pattern DSP shown on envelope in the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.

Are you inspired yet to join us? Promise that it is going to be educational and informational but so stinking FUN! Great for customers AND current Stampin' UP! demonstrators! You can get lots of ideas for your classes at a small price and less time designing!

World Autism Awareness Blog Hop

Welcome to the World Autism Awareness Day Blog Hop!
I am so honored that Jenny Hall asked me to be apart of this blog hop to raise awareness on Autism with 45 other fabulous stampers from around the world. While I am not personally effected by Autism in my direct family, I have many dear close friends that are and their children have a special place in my heart. Did you know that 1 in 50 children living in the US has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder? Staggering statistic for our country today! More and more doctors and researchers are referring to autism as autisms, because each child’s case is different, as are each child’s causes and treatments.
I was drawn immediately to the blue color and lightbulb symbol that is used in support of Autism Awareness. These cards are simple and easy to create and I think they would be perfect to use for a future Autism Awareness fundraiser. (I love creating class events for fellow demonstrators to use, it one of the highlights to working at Stampin' UP!)

Here is my supply list:
 Watts of Occassions stamp set
Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Night of Navy cardstock
Vellum Cardstock
Crushed Curry and Night of Navy Classic Ink
Versamark Ink
White Embossing Powder
Stitched Shapes Framelits
White Baker's Twine
Dimensionals
Heat Tool
Aqua Painter

Want to see how I actually made them? I thought it would be fun to do my very first LIVE Facebook video! I have a couple of tips and tricks to share with these cards so no better way to do it than to do a LIVE Facebook Video later today at 7:00 pm MT.
Come join me! Click my name CINDY SCHUSTER and it will send you directly there.

One more thing...here is a link to allow you to donate directly to the Organization for Autism Research, in an effort to assist individuals living with autism and bring more awareness, in support of World Autism Awareness Day. Did you know it takes millions of dollars to raise a child with Autism? Just $10 times 10,000 of us can help. Be the difference! Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by my post for the World Autism Awareness Day blog hop!
