Stack of Guy Greetings - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are finishing up on our April 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog and some Annual Catalog products as well! This month, we Artisans have select a certain product to showcase each week. You will see one product created 16 different ways so get ready to be inspired to buy and use that product! Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my projects this 5th week...
Our focus this week was on the stamp set called Guy Greetings from the Occasions Catalog. I was so happy with this stamp set cause I was able to stamp a stack of several cards for all the "guys" in our lives. I used the same layout for each, just switching the focus color or stamp image for each of them. I tried to make each card unique to each of the guys. I added the vellum layer to soften the stamped background.
This one is for my Dad. I stamped the words DAD GRANDPA and FATHER on a diagonal over and over in Baked Brown Sugar. Then added the vintage car image in Tangerine Tango. My Dad's favorite color in that burnt orange and he builds race cars. Hence the car version for him.
This one is for my brother. See the words on the background have changed to BROTHER UNCLE FATHER. He is also a race car builder and I select the Lost Lagoon for his color. He is a pretty cool guy.
Then I moved on to some other images from the Guy Greetings Stamp Set for more guys....
This one is for my brother-in-law. Another background with UNCLE BROTHER FATHER, Crushed Curry for his love of the Steelers, and those dapper shoes because he is a fancy hardworking top executive at IBM.
This one is for my husband. He is a FATHER HUSBAND DAD, like this shade of blue and loves his hats! (He has quite a few of these showing on the card)
And last is for my dear family friend Turner. He is a wonderful FATHER DAD BROTHER (husband too), loves to tinker with tools and likes that orange tone (his hair color too).

I am so glad to have my Father's Day cards done even before Mother's Day!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you to create with the Guy Greetings Stamp Set!!!

Fancy Friday Blog Hop - Newly Retired Challenge

Rain rain go away...come again another day.
Welcome to the FANCY FRIDAY BLOG HOP for a
"Newly Retired" Challenge!
My fancy friends and I are BACK! We loved working with each other so much that we decided to continue on with an all new blog hop to inspire you in fun new ways! Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc) that you can even participate in!  This month we are doing a NEWLY RETIRED CHALLENGE! Stampin' UP just released this week their retired product list and we wanted to show some ideas with them so that you might run out and buy it before their gone!
Bonus: SOME of these retired products are also on sale right now! Be sure to check it out!
So I have a confession to make....I have had this stamp set for over a year and never once inked it up until this month! Sad I know! It is called Bootiful Occasions and it is adorable! I have seen many great cards made with this stamp set. I decided to use the rainboot partly because it has been raining so much this month! I colored the boot with a blender pen and Crushed Curry ink. I wish I had rainboots like these! I then paired it with the Back to Black Designer Series Paper (also retiring), Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and a 2.5" Circle Punch in Bermuda Bay. Those super cute raindrops fit the boot!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspire you!

More Moonlight DSP - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are finishing up our April 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog and some Annual Catalog products as well! This month, we Artisans have select a certain product to showcase each week. This week is two Designer Series Papers called Moonlight and Gold Soiree. You will see these DSPs created 16 different ways so get ready to be inspired to buy and use that product! (Better hurry, they are retiring and supplies are limited!)
Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my project this 4th week...
I am on a roll with this Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack! My goal is to use it all up so I created some more cards with it. My first two were so fun to make! Colors are Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, Baked Brown Sugar and Kraft. Stamp sets used were Guy Greetings and Sea Street. I fancy cut out those anchors and made a small hole with the 1/8" handheld punch. The Baked Brown Sugar Baker's Twine is glue dotted to the card. I wiped the Baked Brown Sugar Ink pad to create the "ocean floor". Perfect birthday cards for my nephews!

Ok, so enough with the masculine cards using this Designer Series Paper Stack! How about some pretty cards? The bokeh patterns are perfect for this! So I paired it with the Hostess Stamp Set called Hello There for a soft look to this paper.
Remember last week's post? Well...

It's a Guy Birthday - Stampin' UP Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome back to the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are in the middle of our April 2015 box from Stampin' UP. This box was full of more brand NEW products from the Stampin' UP Occasions Catalog and some Annual Catalog products as well! This month, we Artisans have select a certain product to showcase each week.
BUT this week we are showing you the details for our Facebook projects which we decided to use whatever we wanted to use from the box. Should be fun!
Every Thursday of each week, all 16 of us from all over the world will post on our blogs an inspiring project for you! Be sure to get Google Translate so that you can read in your language all about how they created their projects too. Now on to my Facebook project this 3rd week...
Why do people say it is so hard to make handmade cards for guys? Not for me! With the right products, I can whip up a card in no time. I wanted to focus on the masculine designer series paper stack called Moonlight from the Annual SU catalog. Love that confetti pattern with the color combo of Lost Lagoon, Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Sahara Sand. I cut my card 1/2" off so that I could put the DSP strip of Basic Gray hexagon pattern on the inside of card. Remember last week's post where we showed you several ways to use the Birthday Surprise Stamp Set? Well here is one more! Love that greeting! The Mustache Framelit just says GUY all over it so I had to use it. I cut some strips of Kraft cardstock for the prop sticks. I think my favorite part is that pompom hat topper! I took Crushed Curry Baker's Twine and wrapped it around two of my fingers width several times. Then tie a single string around the center tightly. Cut the loop ends and fluff. Give it a try!

Now it's time for a FREE GIVE-A-WAY from ME!
