Valentine Special Day # 2

Today I want to share with you this great little project that I did on UStamp online class. (Which I am having so much fun with!) The project was for wine charms in a longer box but I saw it as a chance to make earrings in a smaller box! The box measures 3 1/4" x 3 1/2" and 1" high. The earrings are lever back and very lightweight. They look so pretty on and great for this Hallmark holiday! I will be giving some of these as gifts to friends! I will be doing a similar gift box for Mother's Day too! So I will post that early enough for all to see.
Have a magical day!

Valentine Special Day #1

Sorry for the late posting, this weekend was extremely busy with sick daughter then cleaning/birthday dinner and finally our Senior Youth Sweetheart Dinner at church. It was great and we raised a good amount of money as well as had a good time! I hope to post pictures later to this post. So be sure to check back.
Today's card is so cute! A little time consuming to put those hearts on the tree but so worth the effort I think. I cased this from another blogger cause I had just got the stamp set " Season of Friendship" and had to make something with it. The tiny hearts are from the Heart to Heart punch and used dimensionals to pop them off the paper/tree. Colors used are Kraft, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Whisper White. I did the double stamped technique the leaves on the tree. I also cut the old olive strip to make it look like grass.
Hug the ones you love today!
Have a magical day!

Wacky Birthday Wednesday

It took me forever to figure out how I wanted to make my Create-a-Calendar 2009 kit. I found this blog post: Krystal's Cards and More: Create-A-Calendar 2009 and right away knew I had to make this! I love the dotted brown paper. Unfortunately, this kit is no longer available. :o(

This is May and June calendar pages. I stamped seasonal images on the pages and filled in special dates to remember. This is July and December calendar pages. I have this on my kitchen counter bar next to similar dotted and color organizer that holds our address book, pen, pencils, scissors, etc. I then took the dotted brown paper and cover two plastic jars that hold batteries and coins. Looks great all together! Yes, it is my birthday today! Another year older! OY! Closer to 40. Very close. Too close. LOL No plans except getting a haircut. I might go to a shorter length. I think I might try to go to Archiver's (scrapbook store) and soak up the creative juices and buy a few things too. Have a magical day! Cindy

Disney Tip Tuesday

The TOP 5 Things to do at Hollywood Studios in DisneyWorld! #5 Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure - Hubby is such a big kid when he get around this one! It is a larger then life experience on the creative playset where you can run around and cool down, too. Some examples: Large, chattering ants that you can ride on Convoluted anthills and mazes to explore and hide in A spider web/maze with climbing ropes A slide made to look like a canister of Kodak film A giant sniffing dog nose that sprays mist #4 Muppet Vision 3-D - A 25 minute show in a hilarious 3-d film starring the Muppets. Including those old farts Statlor and Waldorf who complain about everything! It also has a cute entrance and funny 12 minute intro before you go into the theater. And yes, you wear yellow 3-D glasses to see the show. #3 Playhouse Disney Live on Stage - This 22 min show brings the stars of the Disney Channel's Playhouse Disney television shows, geared to preschoolers, together to entertain Walt Disney World guests with music, songs and stories of friendship. You see Handy Manny, Pooh, Little Einsteins and Mickey and his gang! Very awesome show for younger kids! But I miss Bear in the Big Blue House who was in the original show. #2 Rock 'n' Roller Coaster starring Aerosmith! - This ride ROCKS! It includes a high-speed launch that goes from 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. It blows you away! Then your in the dark, twisting and turning over with Aerosmith music screaming in your ears. AWESOME!!!!! You must be 48" to ride this and Megan absolutely loves this ride! Allison is not tall enough and she would not like it right now at her age. So we get the parent swap which works well in Megan favor as she gets to ride it twice! #1 Toy Story Midway Mania! - Our top would have been Rock'n'Roller Coaster but this new ride has taken over our #1 spot. Think of Buzz Lightyear ride in 4-D! You can read more about the ride here: Toy Story Midway Mania - Disney's Hollywood Studios and be sure to read the Touring Tips! It is only a 5 min ride so you will want to ride it over and over again. It is a blast! Thanks for checking out our Disney Top 5 today! Next up is Top 5 Breakfast meals at Disneyworld! Have a magical day! Cindy

Made for Monday

Last Monday was our neighbor Tim's birthday which gave me a challenge to create a masculine birthday card besides a Steelers or Georgia card. (BTW - YEAH STEELERS - SUPER BOWL CHAMPS!) I found this card on Splitcoaststampers and had to case it. The picture below shows how I did the watercolor ink on the tree. I used the aqua painter and choco chip/old olive ink. I just LOVE doing watercolor! Colors are Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Basic Black. I used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set and sentiment from Upsy Daisy stamp set. I used the paper crimper to texture the choco chip and flatten it back out then added depth by swiping the black ink pad over it.
Here is the card that Megan and Allison made for Mr Tim. ADORABLE! Allison punched it and Megan put it together and wrote it. Inside read in big letters "TIM!"
Have a magical day!
