I am so honored that Jenny Hall asked me to be apart of this blog hop to raise awareness on Autism with 45 other fabulous stampers from around the world. While I am not personally effected by Autism in my direct family, I have many dear close friends that are and their children have a special place in my heart. Did you know that 1 in 50 children living in the US has a
diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder? Staggering statistic for our country today! More and more doctors and
researchers are referring to autism as autisms,
because each child’s case is different, as are each child’s causes and
treatments.
I was drawn immediately to the blue color and lightbulb symbol that is used in support of Autism Awareness. These cards are simple and easy to create and I think they would be perfect to use for a future Autism Awareness fundraiser. (I love creating class events for fellow demonstrators to use, it one of the highlights to working at Stampin' UP!)
Here is my supply list:
Watts of Occassions stamp set
Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper
Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Night of Navy cardstock
Vellum Cardstock
Crushed Curry and Night of Navy Classic Ink
Versamark Ink
White Embossing Powder
Stitched Shapes Framelits
White Baker's Twine
Dimensionals
Heat Tool
Aqua Painter
Want to see how I actually made them? I thought it would be fun to do my very first LIVE Facebook video! I have a couple of tips and tricks to share with these cards so no better way to do it than to do a LIVE Facebook Video later today at 7:00 pm MT.
Come join me! Click my name CINDY SCHUSTER and it will send you directly there.
One more thing...here is a link to allow you to donate directly to the Organization for Autism Research, in an effort to assist individuals living with autism and bring more awareness, in support of World Autism Awareness Day. Did you know it takes millions of dollars to raise a child with Autism? Just $10 times 10,000 of us can help. Be the difference! Thank you!
Thanks for stopping by my post for the World Autism Awareness Day blog hop!
