Summer Smooches Fun - MDS Blog Hop

WELCOME TO THE MDS BLOG HOP!
A bunch of us have joined together to share our passion for digital designing with Stampin' UP's My Digital Studio.  These ladies are SERIOUSLY talented in MDS and I am thrilled to be on this Blog Hop with them! You will find us blog hopping on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month! We will have a "theme" selected on the first hop and then a "What we are doing in MDS" on the second hop. This week we are celebrating some good SUMMER FUN!
Some MDS techniques I used on this page:
*I stuck with just ONE download on this page called "Summer Smooches" for nearly EVERYTHING but the Taffeta Ribbons.
*To get the "sweeeeeeeet" to look more bold: I copied it once and then paste in place then using my cursor moved it over one space to the left. Instant BOLD letters!
*I added another orange tone dotted circle and recolored it to Melon Mambo.
*I also added a small circle punch in Melon Mambo to the small circles in a row from the embellishment "banner 18" off the Summer Smooches download.
* The font on journaling is called Pupcat.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are moving on to our last box of Stampin' Up products for this AWESOME Artisan Design Team! We are all so sad that our term is coming to a close at the end of July. Gonna miss this....but back to the post.
This box was full of NEW products that just came out in our new Annual Stampin' Up catalog!!! We hope you stay with our Artisan Design Team Blog Hop for the whole month of July! You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you do come check out my card made with the fantastic and very popular photopolymer stamp set called Flower Patch.

Some of my favorite things on this card:
*The fact that the Flower Patch stamp set #134207 has matching Flower Fair Framelits #134207. All but the Pool Party flowers that I had to hand cut each one! Fancy!
*The background paper is from the designer series paper stack called Moonlight #133701
*Designer WASHI TAPE!!! - I used a combination of both the NEW Sweet Sadie #133690 and Beach House #133689.
*Crushed Curry Embossing powder on the sentiment.
*Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set in Basic Gray for some splatter effect.
*The color combo - Crushed Curry, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Pool Party with Basic Gray, Crumb Cake and Whisper White.
*Using a Crumb Cake envelope and making an envelope liner with Crushed Curry diagonal stripes from the Flowerpot  Designer Series Paper #133698.

I made this card with my sister-in-law in mind...She turns the big 4-0 today! She is BLOOMING into a blessed prime time in her life. Happy Birthday Lois! She is a really great aunt, mom, friend and wife and I love her joy and enthusiasm for everything she does!

Together - MDS Blog Hop

WELCOME TO THE MDS BLOG HOP!
A bunch of us have joined together to share our passion for digital designing with Stampin' UP's My Digital Studio.  These ladies are SERIOUSLY talented in MDS and I am thrilled to be on this Blog Hop with them! You will find us blog hopping on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month! We will have a "theme" selected on the first hop and then a "What we are doing in MDS" on the second hop. This week we are catching you up with what we have been working on in MDS lately.
I have been working on two MAJOR projects lately in MDS. One is our recent Disney trip and the other is a baby book for some close friends. I love using MDS Monday challenges and these bi-weekly blog hop to get some pages done for them. I am hoping that I get them done in time to print thru the new printing company thru SU.

Some MDS techniques I used on this page:
Freeform line stitching with Night of Navy
Freeform Text on a line with "together" on a curve line
Recoloring the washi tape to Calypso Coral
Rounded corners on the photo

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!

MDS Monday Sketch Challenge #71

I am continuing to work on a little project for my friends. It is a first year baby book of their adorable son. She has been sending me one sweet picture per month and I have been making a 12x12 page with it. I took the challenge of the ombre look with the dots background.

You can give the challenge a try and submit your own page if you click on the MDS Monday button on the right side! Follow the directions on the site to upload your page and link it from your blog or MDS.net. Winners and honorable mentions are announced every week.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you today to get into

Hey There Buds Card - Artisan WOW

Welcome back to Artisan Wednesday WOW! We are continuing with our June box of Stampin' Up products! This box was full of NEW products that just came out! So get ready to see some exciting NEW stuff this month! We hope you stay with our Artisan Design Team Blog Hop to inspire you look at some new things in a different way! You just came from Cathy Caines and next is Connie Collins, but before you do come check out my artsy card!
This card was a lot of fun to make! I first used the Coastal Cabana Blendablitilies to color my background on the Whisper White cardstock. Simply use the large tip end on the lightest color with a back and forth motion across the card area size you want. Next I did some lines around to make a "frame" with the Project Life Journaling pen. I stamped the single Hey There Buds stamp image in Staz On Black and again in Strawberry Slush. I hand cut them out and used dimensional to pop the flower up. I used the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack flower with Hello Honey and dotted the centers with the Project Life Journaling Pen. I added a piece of the Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and a Crushed Curry Baker's Twine bow. Those two yellows are so close that it works!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope this inspires you!
